The Mercer Foundation for Health was founded in 1990 as a not-for-profit IRS 501 (C)(3) Corporation. The mission of Mercer Foundation for Health is to assist in providing the best possible health care for the people of Mercer County area. The primary focus is to acquire financial support in the form of gifts, deferred gifts, estate plans, grants, endowments, and bequests to provide this assistance.

Hello, My name is Chip King .
I am the newest addition to the Mercer Foundation for Health.
Im born and raised in New Boston, been in Mercer County all my life.
I am excited to help the people that help people.

Tonight marked a historic milestone as we celebrated the inaugural class of the Mercer Foundation for Health’s Guardians of Health Society. The Guardians of Health Society recognizes individuals and families whose generosity and vision will strengthen health and wellness in Mercer County for generations to come. Through planned gifts, endowment contributions, and other legacy commitments, our members are ensuring that the Mercer Foundation for Health can continue improving lives into the future.

It was our honor to recognize and induct the first two members of the Guardians of Health Society:
- The Late John and Peggy Malone. John was the long term President with the Foundation. His leadership saw the building of the Clinic Building and the Home Care building in Viola. Peggy always there to organize the any and all events often serving as hostess.
- Dr. Dennis and Vicki Palmer. The Palmers have provided leadership to the community and the board to ensure rural healthcare and a hospital is available in the Mercer County area.

Please join us in congratulating these remarkable individuals and families for their vision, generosity, and commitment to improving the health of Mercer County area.

That’s what today was all about. Over 24 companies supported the golf tournament, and 82 golfers enjoyed the beautiful weather on the golf course. The funds from today will be used for the 2027 scholarship recipients.
