At Harvest of Aledo, we're honored to partner with Dementia Friendly Fort Worth for the Faces of Dementia Showcase on September 24 from 4:00–6:00 PM at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.

This special event celebrates the lives, memories, and legacies of those living with or who have lived with dementia, and we'd love for you to be part of it.

Residents created their own coastal-inspired coasters using sandy colors, seashells, and plenty of creativity.

Each unique design reflected their personal style while sparking conversation, laughter, and connection.

We hit the road for a fun-filled trip to the car museum! 🚗

Residents enjoyed exploring shiny classics, sharing stories about their favorite rides, and taking a trip down memory lane filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of “I remember those!” moments.

⭐ Progress can happen at any age, and every step forward is worth celebrating! ⭐

A wonderful example of progress with no age limit comes from one of our residents, Bonnie W., an 88-year-old who has made remarkable strides through Physical Therapy services focused on building strength, improving balance, and increasing independence with daily activities.

Since beginning therapy, Bonnie has shown consistent determination and commitment to her goals. Over time, she has developed both confidence and routine in her daily life, making meaningful progress in her overall well-being.

Bonnie now comes to the therapy gym independently, actively participating in exercises under therapist supervision with focus and consistency. She has also embraced a more structured daily schedule, which has positively impacted her engagement and overall quality of life.

One of the most meaningful changes has been her increased participation in community life. Bonnie now joins others regularly for meals, including breakfast in the dining room - something she previously avoided.

Her journey reflects more than physical progress; it highlights renewed independence, motivation, and connection. Bonnie’s story is a strong reminder of the impact of consistency, support, and perseverance. 💪
