Join us for a moment to pause, breathe, and reconnect. 🌿
Sunstone counselor Elizabeth Willson guides us through a simple three-part breathing exercise that can be used when you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or a little more activated than usual.

By slowing down and bringing attention to the belly, ribs, and chest with each breath, this practice can help you feel more grounded and present.

Find a comfortable seat, plant your feet on the floor, and follow along. Save this video so you can return to it whenever you need a moment to reset. 💛

Big feelings don’t disappear overnight, but over time, kids can learn what to do when those feelings show up.

Maybe they’re starting to name what they’re feeling instead of shutting down. Maybe they’re asking for a break before things become overwhelming, using a coping skill on their own, or recovering from a hard moment a little more easily than before.

Those shifts might seem small, but they matter. Building emotional regulation takes practice, patience, and support, and every step toward understanding their emotions can help a child feel more confident handling them. 🧡

Bedtime doesn’t have to feel like a nightly battle. 🌙

When kids are asked to move through several steps at the end of a long day, repeated reminders and negotiations can quickly become exhausting for everyone.

Katie Clark, Registered Play Therapist, shares a simple strategy that can help: creating a visual bedtime schedule together. Giving kids a picture for each step can make the routine easier to follow, while involving them in creating it can build connection, consistency, and a sense of ownership.

Sometimes, small changes to a routine can make a big difference for the whole family. 💛

Some changes are exciting. Some are expected. And some can leave you wondering why you don’t quite feel like yourself.

A new job, a move, a relationship shift, becoming a parent, or closing one chapter can bring up more than you expected. Even when the change is something you wanted.

You don’t have to have it all figured out right away. Give yourself time to adjust, make sense of what’s different, and find your footing.

Not every change is a setback. Sometimes, you’re just finding your way through something new.

You’re allowed to take your time finding your footing. And when you’re ready for support, we’re here. 🧡
