Wearing my J. Esho shirt today and the words on it feel like they were written for me: Between Worlds. 🌎 🌍
Growing up Egyptian-American, I’ve always lived a little in two places at once. I was raised across three continents, and each one gave me something I still carry, from the food in my grandparents’ kitchen to the languages I switch between without thinking. For a long time I wondered which world I really belonged to. Now I think the answer is both, and that’s what made me who I am.
The more I coach, the more I see that we’re all between worlds in a way. There’s who we are today and who we’re becoming, and that middle space can feel uncomfortable and unclear. It’s also where all the growth happens. If you’re in that in-between right now, you’re in a good place, even if it doesn’t feel like it yet.
And J. Esho’s music brings me so much joy. 🎼 He moves between languages so beautifully, and you don’t need to understand every word to feel it. Music has always been one of those things that crosses every border. If you haven’t heard him yet, start with ‘El Ritmo’ and go follow Johni Esho 😊 Artists like him who are building bridges with their work deserve all the support we can give them.
Where are you between worlds right now?
