Columbia Mental Health is excited to be attending the 2026 Mental Health America Conference on October 8th and 9th in Washington, D.C.!

This year's theme, More Good Days, Together, focuses on connecting people to the right support at the right time and recognizing that "good" looks different for everyone. It's a message that reflects so much of what we believe in, and we can't wait to learn alongside advocates, providers, and leaders who share our commitment to making mental health care more accessible.

🧠September is National Su***de Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness, honor those we've lost, and spark conversations that can save lives.

According to NAMI, su***de is the 12th leading cause of death in the U.S. and the 2nd leading cause of death among people ages 10–34.* Too many lives are lost to untreated or undertreated mental health conditions, but hope and healing are possible.

NeuroStar TMS therapy, an FDA-cleared non-drug treatment, offers a proven alternative for those who haven’t responded to antidepressants, giving more patients the chance to rediscover hope and healing.

Every life matters. Every conversation matters. And every step toward healing counts.

Su***de prevention starts with connection.

This September, we're recognizing Su***de Prevention Month by sharing what support can look like: noticing changes, asking direct questions, listening without judgment, and helping someone find professional care. All month, we'll be sharing resources to help you support the people in your life, and to remind you that support is available for you too.

The 988 Su***de and Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7, nationwide.

April is National Counseling Awareness Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the incredible work counselors do across the nation. In honor of this month our Chief Operating Officer Maggie Tapp, who is also a mental health clinician, has recorded a video to recognize the importance of counseling professionals. We invite you all to watch and share while taking a moment to celebrate the powerful impact counseling has in our lives.

These professionals dedicate their lives to supporting, uplifting, and empowering individuals, families, and communities through some of their most challenging times. These team members provide hope when things feel hopeless and help us all find more peace and joy in life. This month, we not only highlight the vital role counselors play in our mental health and well-being but also encourage everyone to acknowledge and appreciate their hard work and commitment.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our counselors and the counselors in our communities who dedicate their lives to guiding, supporting, and empowering others. The impact you have on your community can not be understated! 💖
