✏️🍎A new school year brings excitement, but it can also bring worry, uncertainty, and big emotions for children of all ages. Whether it’s starting kindergarten, moving to a new school, or simply adjusting to a different routine, these transitions can feel overwhelming.

One of the best things parents can do is create space for conversations. Instead of asking, “How was school?” try questions like, “What was the best part of your day?” or “Was anything harder than you expected?” These simple moments help children process their experiences and build emotional resilience.

If your child seems unusually anxious, withdrawn, or overwhelmed as school begins, know that support is available. Early intervention can make all the difference as they settle into a successful school year.

We’d love to help🤍. Give us a call or request an appointment online at beinspiredcc.com.

As July comes to a close, we want to leave you with a simple reminder: living fully doesn’t mean staying busy every moment of every day.☀️

Living fully might mean slowing down enough to enjoy your morning coffee. It might mean spending quality time with loved ones, setting healthier boundaries, saying yes to something new, or finally giving yourself permission to rest.

Sometimes we put pressure on ourselves to make every season perfect. But a meaningful life isn’t built through perfection. It’s built through presence.

As you move through the rest of the summer, we encourage you to pay attention to what matters most. Take care of your mental health, prioritize connection, and give yourself grace along the way.

You deserve support, growth, and joy in every season.💛

It may feel early to think about back-to-school season, but preparing now can make the transition much smoother for both children and parents.

Small changes can have a big impact. Gradually adjusting bedtime schedules, reintroducing routines, limiting excessive screen time, and talking openly about school-related worries can help reduce stress before the first day arrives.

✏️Back-to-school preparation isn’t only about buying supplies. It’s also about helping children feel emotionally ready for the transition.

If your child experiences anxiety, struggles with change, or has difficulty adjusting to new routines, starting conversations early can help build confidence and resilience.

Swipe through for simple ways to support your child before school starts.💛

💙 New on the Blog | Why Autism in Women and Girls Is Still Being Missed

For years, autism has been viewed through a lens that doesn't always reflect how it presents in women and girls. As a result, many spend years feeling misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or wondering why everyday life feels so much harder than it seems for everyone else.

Research continues to show that autistic women and girls are often diagnosed later because they may mask their traits, present differently than boys, or have their experiences mistaken for anxiety, depression, or other conditions.

In this thoughtful blog, Elizabeth Beebe, LPC-SA, explores:
💙 Why autism often goes unrecognized in women and girls
💙 How masking can hide signs of autism while increasing emotional exhaustion
💙 The impact of delayed or missed diagnosis
💙 Why greater awareness can lead to earlier support, understanding, and self-acceptance

Whether you're exploring these questions for yourself, your child, or someone you love, we hope this article offers insight and encouragement.

Sometimes understanding yourself begins with finally feeling seen. 💙

Many women and girls are diagnosed with autism later in life because they don't fit outdated stereotypes. Let's explore why it goes unnoticed.

🗓 September 4 – When the Body Speaks First: Understanding Somatic Symptoms, Trauma, and Nervous System Dysregulation
🗓 October 2 – The Alarm That Won't Turn Off: The Neurobiology of Trauma and Chronic Stress
🗓 November 6 – The Ethics of Self-Care: Preventing Compassion Fatigue and Impairment in the Helping Professions

We’re officially in the middle of summer, which makes it the perfect time for a quick mental health check-in.

Pause for a moment and ask yourself:

✨How have I been feeling lately?
✨What has been giving me energy?
✨What has been draining me?
✨What do I need more of right now?
✨What do I need less of?

We often spend so much time taking care of responsibilities that we forget to check in with ourselves. But self-awareness is one of the most important parts of emotional wellness.

You don’t have to wait until you’re overwhelmed to pay attention to your mental health. Small adjustments made early can help prevent bigger struggles later.

Take a few minutes today to reflect on how you’re really doing.

If you’d like support on your journey, visit beinspiredcc.com to connect with our team.
