Has your baby started pinching, scratching, or even biting while breastfeeding? 🤱😬 While it can be uncomfortable, these behaviors are actually common and can happen for several reasons.

Older babies may pinch or scratch as they explore and develop fine motor skills, while biting may happen during teething. Babies may also do these things to adjust milk flow, soothe themselves, or simply because they’re getting full or losing interest in feeding.

There are simple things you can try, from giving your baby something to hold to offering a chilled teething ring before nursing or adjusting their breastfeeding position. Learn more here. 👇

What does it mean if Baby is pinching, scratching, or biting you while breastfeeding? And how can you cope with these behaviors? Learn about it in our blog.

As your baby starts eating more solid foods, you may wonder when it's time to introduce a high chair and utensils. 👶 🍽️

Most babies are ready for a high chair around 6 months, when they can sit up and begin eating solid foods. By 10–12 months, many are ready to start practicing with baby-safe spoons and forks as they become more confident with finger foods.

Don't worry if mealtimes get messy. That's a normal part of learning! Giving your child opportunities to practice self-feeding helps build fine motor skills, coordination, and independence.
