September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month. 🩸

Approximately 100,000 Americans live with sickle cell disease, a rare chronic condition that causes the red blood cells to harden and form a sickle shape. This sickling causes severe and unpredictable pain, intense fatigue, frequent infections, and more.

We are proud to stand with the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, Inc., this month and push for better treatments, education and outcomes for sickle cell warriors.

Regular transfusions can be lifesaving for patients with sickle cell disease. Blood donation helps patients by providing healthy red blood cells that can improve oxygen delivery and reduce complications caused by severe anemia.

After losing her voice at just 13 while battling thyroid cancer, Brittany turned her experience into a mission of hope through Speak Hope, her platform focused on cancer education, advocacy, and support.

Today, she uses her voice to encourage others to make a difference by donating blood—and she leads by example as a regular blood donor herself. 🩸
