**CareFirst BCBS, our patients deserve better.**

We rarely post about operational issues, but this one has become too significant to ignore.

Our practice is currently waiting on **5 figures in payments from CareFirst BCBS** due to what we've been told is a system glitch. We've been informed it could take **up to 30 days** to resolve.

Here's the problem: clients need our services, therapists show up. Sessions still happen. Staff still need to be paid. Rent, payroll, and operating expenses don't pause because an insurance company has a payment issue.

We're sharing this because we want to know:

➡️ Are other healthcare providers experiencing similar delays with CareFirst BCBS?
➡️ If you're a CareFirst member, have you noticed delays with your claims or reimbursements?

Please comment below if you've experienced this recently. (Please don't share any personal health information.)

The more visibility this issue receives, the more likely it is to be addressed quickly. Healthcare providers shouldn't have to spend hours chasing payments for care that has already been delivered, and patients deserve an insurance system they can rely on.

TL;DR Free grief counseling for those impacted by DCA plane crash.

This morning, I woke up to the heartbreaking news of the crash at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). My family and I had just arrived on a flight hours before, and as someone who frequently flies into DCA, I often proudly spot my counseling office from the air during landings. This airport is a familiar part of my life, and today, my heart breaks for everyone affected.

As small as an offering as it is, I am offering free grief counseling sessions to anyone deeply impacted by this tragedy—whether you’re a frequent flyer, a friend or family member of someone on the flight, an airport or airline employee, or a first responder. If you’re struggling, please know you don’t have to face this alone.

Sessions are available in-person or virtually, at no cost to you.
