Vance Thompson Vision spent their evening at the Teddy Bear Den getting their hands dirty—moving baby items, organizing, and restocking the Den so our moms can find the things they need when they visit.

The real question isn’t just, “Can I have LASIK?” It’s “Which option is going to give me the vision I’m looking for?”

The best way to find out? Start with a consultation.

Dr. Jason Schmit explains that when evaluating someone for LASIK, we look at several factors—including the strength of your glasses prescription, the thickness of your cornea, and your age and stage of vision.

Why does age matter? Around 40, our eyes naturally begin to lose some of their ability to focus up close. That doesn’t mean you’re “too old” for LASIK, but it can mean there may be other vision correction options better suited to your goals.
