Jerry Lee Pelle, 85, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away surrounded by his family on May 26, 2026. He was the son of Frank Pelle, and Adelaine Bauerly. He worked for the Unites States Treasury at Silver Grove. Silver Grove later named the building after him.
He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife Susan Pelle of 33 years. Daughters; Tracy (Moris) Pelle and Susan Pelle. Son; Todd (Donna) Pelle. Brothers; Frank Pelle and Robert Pelle. Sisters; Kay Tiemeier and Ruth Gulett. As well as 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Burial will be held private to the family. Cooper Funeral Home is serving the family.

John Louis Wetzel, 92, of Alexandria, passed away on May 28, 2026. Born to John Frederick Wetzel and Elizabeth Stump, John lived a life dedicated to faith, family, service, and community. He was a longtime employee of Cincinnati Bell, where he worked faithfully until his retirement. John was a devoted member of Saint Mary Parish and lived his faith through service to others. He was instrumental in founding the Southern Campbell County Fire Department and later served as a Merit Board member for the Campbell County Police Department. He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, where he enjoyed spending peaceful moments feeding the mallards. John found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a lifelong fascination with space and flight. His curiosity, dedication to public service, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him. John will be remembered for his unwavering faith, commitment to his community, and the kindness he extended to family, friends, and neighbors throughout his life. His legacy of service and compassion will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Shirley Wetzel. His daughter Pattie (Wayne) Geisel. Sons; Michael Wetzel, Robert Wetzel, and David Wetzel. One grandchild Cinnamon Fugate. Memorials are suggested to Saint Mary’s or Saint Peter and Paul. Rory Ilise Hawkins, 55, of Ft Thomas, KY passed away on May 28, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Kenneth McKenna and Sheredith Bennett. Rory found joy in all things crafting and had a special talent for creating beautiful things with her hands. When she wasn't working on a craft project or tending to her plants, she cherished spending time with her friends. Above all, Rory's greatest love was her family. She adored her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews with all her heart and brought warmth, laughter, and love to those fortunate enough to know her. Her kind spirit and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughters; Kayla Hawkins and Gabirelle Hawkins. Son; Cole Greenman. Step dad; Gary Girkin. Sisters; Tara Schuchter, Feather Girkin, and Tiffany Girkin. Grandchildren; Jace, Geno, Alanis and Cora. As well as a host of nieces and nephews. Tina Louise Govan, 64 of Newport, Kentucky, passed away surrounded by her family on May 22, 2026. She was born on March 30, 1962, to her parents Charles “Whitey” and Imogene (Murphy) Govan. Tina was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Bethany Govan, son Eric Govan and brother Joe Govan.

Tina retired from Red Express. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her family and spending time with them. One thing we’ll all remember most about Tina was the joy she brought in her smile. She was always smiling, always joking, always laughing — even during hard and painful times. She carried strength and kindness together in a way that inspired everyone around her.

She is survived by her partner Tim Donnelly, son Joseph Govan, brothers; Chuck Govan and Kenneth Govan and sister Cheryl Lawson and 6 grandchildren; Krystina, Kayden, Kolton, Kristopher, Korbin and Karmen.

A visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home on May 29, 2026, from 4:00pm -7:00pm. A Service will begin at 7pm and the burial will be private at Grandview Cemetery.

Memorial Day is more than the start of summer — it is a day of remembrance, gratitude, and honoring the true meaning of sacrifice. Here in our community, many of us know a veteran, a military family, or someone whose loved one gave everything in service to our country.

At Cooper Funeral Home, we are deeply thankful for the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice protecting our freedoms. Their courage and selflessness are gifts that can never be repaid, only remembered and honored.

James David Hornsby III, 58, of Covington, KY passed away on May 20, 2026. He was born on September 3, 1967, to his parents James David Hornsby II and Nellie War Vienna Blevins. He was known for his hard and dedicated work. He loved fishing in his free time, and enjoyed his time with his family, especially his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Joseph Hornsby, sisters; Penny Wilson, Ann Marie Bennett and Nancy Brossart.

He is survived by his sons; Jacob (Krystal) Hornsby and C**t Hornsby. Daughter; Shawntelle Dawson. Sisters Kathern (Abe) Spicer and Elizabeth (Kevin) Reekers and 15 grandchildren and one on the way.

A visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria, KY on Thursday May 28, 2026, from 10:00am -12:00pm. The service will begin at 12 noon and the burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Darlene Little, 81, of Elsmere passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 19, 2026. She was the daughter of James Nicholas and Alma Wilson. She enjoyed cooking in the kitchen for meals with her family. Along with crafting, sewing and thrifting. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Curtis Nicholas, David Nicholas, Roger Nicholas, Kent Nicholas, sisters; Christine Nicholas and Tonia Lutz and stepson Larry Jason Little.

She is survived by her loving husband Larry Little. Sons; William Travis Jr. and Brian Travis. Daughters; Christine (Scott) Spencer, Brendalee Travis, Kimberly Travis. Stepchildren; Mike Cavannaugh, Larissa Little and Ritchie Little. Brothers; James Nicholas Jr. and Robert (Brenda) Nicholas. Sisters; Marie Hanks, and Gwen Jordre. Mitzi Ruth Maloney, 57 of Ludlow, KY passed away on May 12, 2026. She was the daughter of Willard Virgil and Loretta (Watson) Maloney on February 3rd,1969. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Annette McCowan.

She is survived by her children Savanah Maloney and Jacob Faulconer, brothers; Alvin Foster, Larry Maloney, sister Loreda Banks and a grandchild, Junior Francis.
