Kenneth Ralph Bezold, 87, of Alexandria, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 22, 2026. He was the son of Ralph and Vera (Reis) Bezold.
Kenneth proudly served in the United States Army. He was a devoted member of St Mary’s Church in Alexandria and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Kenneth was a founding member of Southern Campbell County Fire Department. He worked in the Carpenter’s Union and then was able to retire in 1999.

Kenneth was then able to focus on his family and the farm. He cherished spending as much time with his family as he could.
He is preceded in death by his parents, as well as brother; Ralph Bezold Jr. Sisters; Donna Bezold, and Darlene Yates and his first wife; Geraldine (Charlotte) Bezold.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Claudia Bezold. Son; Tim (Cindy Moore) Bezold. Stepson; Greg (Bobbie Jo) Reis. Stepdaughter; Kim (Joe) Stubbs. Brothers; Alan (Rosemary) Bezold, Roger (Janet) Bezold, Doug (Linda) Bezold and Jimmy Bezold. Sister; Gloria (Larry) Taylor. As well as 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at St. Mary’s Church on Thursday October 29, 2026, from 3:00pm -5:30pm, Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 5:30pm with the burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery with Military honors.

Robert “Bobby” Gene Thomas Jr., 62, of Highland Heights, KY, passed away on October 21, 2026. He was the son of Robert Thomas Sr. and Wanda Fay Simmons. Robert was a proud graduate of Campbell County High School, where he was a student and played on the football team. He worked many years as a Machine Operator for Printers Bindery.
He loved to travel with his wife on their Harley, exploring new places and making memories together. He was a devoted father and grandfather. Robert had a huge heart and a kind soul, always showing love and support to his family and friends. He found joy in the simple things – spending time with his loved ones, watching old western movies, and enjoying country bluegrass music.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Betty Jo Thomas in 2022.
He leaves behind his children Bobby Thomas Jr. (Hosanna), Latisha Thomas, Sara Thomas, Shelby Thomas (Austin Gardner), Steven Townsend and Raven Caudill. Brother Ben Thomas and grandchildren; Brian, Adrienne, Carson, Josie, Raylee, Luka, Myles, Nicky, and Henry.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 4pm-7pm. Service will begin at 7pm. Graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 11am at Brown and Strong Cemetery. Cooper Funeral Home is serving the family.

Sandra Sue Campbell,75 of Cold Spring, KY, passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Hospice on October 20, 2026. She was the daughter of Elmo and Razell (Watts) Combs of Perry County, KY. She worked many years at Maple Knoll Village as an Environmental Services.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ivery Campbell Sr. and sisters Carol Toney and Pamela Acree.

She is survived by her son Ivery Campbell Jr. and Franklin Ray Campbell and 4 grandchildren.
Services will be private for the family.

He worked at Dairy Queen and enjoyed his hobbies such as cooking, art, fashion, and music. He is survived by his mother, Salenia Kaiser, daughter, Sylvia Courtney, partner, Evan Courtney, brothers; Craig Kaiser and Levi Kaiser, and sister, Madison Meyer. Alice Ann Cook, 79, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on October 9, 2026. She was the daughter of William Pence and Elva Marksberry. She was a dedicated worker for the Newtone Scoble Division for many years. Alice was a hardworking, loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially time with her grandchildren.
Alice was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband James Cook, and her sons; Mark Cook and David Cook. Sisters; Betty Turner, Barbra Hensley, and Clara Shelton and brothers; Alan Pence, William Pence, and Jerry Pence.
Alice is survived by her sisters; Stella Kapper and Mary Ballard, and her sons; Walter Cook and James Cook, as well as five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria, Kentucky on Friday, October 23, 2026 from 10:00am-12:00pm. The service will begin at 12:00pm. Burial will be private to the family.

George "Buck" Dennis McClanahan, 73, of Burlington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2026. He was the son of George McClanahan and Juanita Turner.

George was a dedicated truck driver for J.B. Hunt Transport until 1995 and continued driving local routes for another decade, driving more than two million miles without an accident. He was Captain of the 1993 American Trucking Association’s Road Team, visiting schools across the region to teach young people about highway safety. George also partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, granting the wish of a child who wanted to ride in a tractor trailer. He was a member of First Church of Christ in Burlington, Kentucky. George enjoyed fishing and attending dirt track races. In his later years, he found joy in feeding the birds and squirrels around his home while sitting on his swing in the front yard beneath the oak tree.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughters, Shawn (Casey) Moll and Tiffany (Christopher) Schadler; their mother, Colleen McClanahan; his brother, Larry McClanahan; and his grandchildren, Allison; Maci, Ava, and Austin Pettit; and Rhett Schadler.

George will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten. His memory will live on through his family and friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him.

A celebration of George's life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at First Church of Christ in Burlington.

Stanley “Mickey” Tillett Jr. 86, of Alexandria, KY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 16, 2026. He was the son of Stanley and Frances (Workman) Tillett Sr.

Mickey proudly served in the United States Army and served at the Pentagon. He retired from General Electric where he was a Certified Professional Engineer. He enjoyed the YMCA, math, Bigfoot and trains. He also loved sports, especially UK, Louisville and his beloved Cincinnati Reds and the Bengals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Thelma June (Nee Poe) Tillett in 1989. Brothers; Dave Tillett, Phillip Tillett and Richard Tillett and sisters; Joan Donahue and Betty Tillett.

He leaves behind his wife Gloria Tillett. Sons; Chip (Aimee) Tillett and Mike Tillett. Brother, Paul Tillett. Grandchildren; Aubrey Tillett and Brady Tillett.

A visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria, KY on Wednesday October 21, 2026, from 10:00am – 12:00pm. The service will begin at 12:00 pm and the burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.

Evelyn Masterson, nee Verna Evelyn Bell, of Walton Ky, was called home Saturday, October 10, 2026.
A home birth, in Carlisle Ky on a stormy night in 1938, Evelyn was a premature baby weighing only 3.5 pounds and not expected to make it to the next morning. Defying all odds, including a life-threatening accident as a child that left her comatose for 7 days, Evelyn went on to live a very full life that included moving to Chicago at 18 to work at Bell and Howell assembling cameras. And, then she went on to create a legacy.
Evelyn gave birth to 4 daughters, Debra, Karen, Jamie, and Jennifer; she has 10 grandchildren, Desiree, Nicholas, Leah, Lauren, Billy, Jesse, Bethany, Devan, Dane, and Dustin; 24 great-grandchildren, Victor, Zoe, Leila, Caidan, Atlas, Maxon, Stryker, Jacob, Rebekah, Katelyn, Noah, Tatum, Moriah, Isabella, Fiona, Aurora, Isabelle, Elijah, Niklaus, Angel, Ezra, Aiden, Raleigh and Miya; and 7 great-great-grandchildren Jacob, Jr., Ivylynn, Mason, Kaleah, Aaron, Paisley, and Johnathon.
In addition to her offspring, Evelyn leaves behind her cherished sister Faye and her loving son, Brian; Her most beloved son-in-law, Steve, who is more like a son to her; nephews she helped raise, Dale, Scotty, and Jeff; Grandson’s in-law Chad, Patrick, and Michael; Granddaughter’s in-law Patty, Becca, and Nina; Great-grandson in-law James; and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors, as well as her irreplaceable aid, Cindy.
Evelyn had an incredible unending capacity to love, and she was innately generous. A devoted Christian, she put God first and believed in helping the underdog, and those less fortunate. She was fierce in the protection of her family, and she was devoted to everyone she loved and to those who loved her. She raised her children on her own, and she never denied assisting anyone in need. She will be remembered as someone who faced life with joy and a sense of adventure. A force to be reckoned with, Evelyn never backed down from a challenge, no matter how heavy the odds were stacked against her, there was no battle she was not ready to win, and she won every single one.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we say goodbye to this extraordinary woman. But we lovingly return her to God, and we rejoice that she will reunite with loved ones who departed this world before her.
*Service will be held Friday October 16, 2026, with visitation from 9:00 am-12:00 pm at Cooper Funeral Home 10759 Alexandria Pike Alexandria, Ky.

Douglas “Benji” Edward Bennett, 63, of Newport, KY passed away on October 12, 2026. He was the son of Cecil and Grace (Powell) Bennett.

He worked many years as a Mechanic and Home Builder. He loved spending his time shooting pool, working, boating, fishing and off roading. He loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; David Bennett, Brenda Dicus and Donna Poynter.

He leaves behind his daughters; Nikki Bennett and Jessica Bennett, sons; Doug (Karla) Bennett and Justin Bennett, sisters; Bernice Casebolt, Patty Bennett and Melonie Bennett. along with grandchildren; Gage, Hope, Faith and Jordan and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday October 17, 2026, at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria from 2:00 pm- 4:00pm. The service will begin at 4:00pm.

Wilma Louise Barrett, 93, of Melbourne, KY, passed away on October 11, 2026. She was born in Breathitt County, KY to her parents John and Jane Turner on April 28, 1933.
Wilma worked at Lakeside Nursing for many years. She enjoyed gardening, going out to eat and shopping, but most importantly she cherished the time with her family and visiting friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Barrett in 1984, her brothers; Truman Turner, Conley Turner and Rudell Turner, and sisters Marie Helton and Mila Dean.
She leaves behind her daughter Sandy (Stephen) Rowlette, sons; Samuel (Olivia) Barrett, Jack (Dollie) Barrett, Ralph (Diane) Barrett and Johnny (Lisa) Barrett. 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria, KY on Monday October 19, 2026, from 10:00am -12:00 noon. The service will begin at 12 noon with the burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
