Influenza immunization: last year’s was ALMOST 40% effective = 60% ineffective.About where it usually is.

Well, better than nothing BUT just a reminder that even if you do get the flu shot to decrease your risk of getting severe flu, keeping away from sick people + washing hands well and NOT touching your T-zone are still VERY helpful and Needed steps. Just remember this stat next summer when we are told how “wonderfully effective the ‘20-‘21 flu shot was”; it will likely b all of our other NON-PHARMACEUTICAL and natural mitigation efforts that will have made the difference and decreased our flu deaths.

We've known pediatric patients are less likely to get ill (less than 2% of covid-19 Ohio hospitilazations though they make up 20% of the population). See viedo on youtube link at www.springhousehealth.com/lets-talk-1 for data presenting that youth are also LESS LIKELY TO CARRY HIGH VIRAL LOADS AND LESS LIKELY TO TRANSMIT TO ADULTS compared to influenza virus.
