World Breastfeeding Week is a moment to recognize the education, care, and community support that help families thrive. 🤍

At West Coast Surrogacy, we honor every feeding journey. Whether a family is nursing, pumping, supplementing, using formula, or combining approaches, every path deserves compassion and support.

For some surrogates, pumping breast milk for an intended family is a deeply personal part of their journey. For others, it is not and both choices are valid.

Save this post for a little encouragement, then tag a parent, surrogate, or supporter who deserves to feel seen today.

There is a lot of paperwork and planning that goes into a surrogacy journey, but staying organized makes all the difference! 🤍

Shantel is a first-time surrogate, and today she is sharing exactly how she keeps everything on track. She relies on a dedicated binder to store all her important signed documents and contracts so they are always easy to find. She also uses a calendar to mark off her daily tasks and track her progress as she counts down to her first transfer.

Having a clear system can help you feel so much more prepared and relaxed throughout the process. Are you a binder person or a digital calendar person? Let us know your favorite organization tip below! 👇🏼

Surrogacy is a journey full of incredible highs, deeply real moments, and a little bit of magic. 🦋✨

Sometimes, the reality of this process means facing heartbreak. I know in my last video I said you wouldn't hear from me until my journey was over, but unfortunately, that journey has already ended. After a misunderstanding before the legal process began, the intended parents and I realized we weren't the best match for a second journey together. I was devastated and heartbroken.

But even when a plan changes, the heart behind the journey doesn't stop. I reached out to Morgan, our Director of Surrogacy Admissions here at West Coast Surrogacy, to update the profile I originally filled out in January. I added some new photos, and before the weekend, it was shared with another set of intended parents who really liked it.

Right now, we are just waiting to make sure their fertility clinic clears my medical history. If all goes well, I am hoping to have a match call and get to know them.

It is okay to hold space for both the practical, sometimes heartbreaking reality of the journey and the beautiful hope that good things can still happen. I am excited and hopeful for what is ahead. 🤍

Behind every hopeful IVF update is an embryologist: a dedicated scientist caring for eggs, s***m, and embryos in the laboratory.

On World Embryologist Day, we celebrate the expertise, precision, and compassion that support intended parents, surrogates, and families throughout the fertility and surrogacy journey.

From monitoring embryo development to helping fertility teams make informed decisions, embryologists play an essential role in IVF, embryology, assisted reproductive technology (ART), and family-building.

Their work blends advanced science with extraordinary care, often behind the scenes, but always at the heart of each new beginning.

To the embryologists who bring patience, skill, and hope to every step of the process: thank you for helping make new beginnings possible.

Crissy’s eight-year-old daughter loves to write, so she decided to write a book to help other kids whose moms are becoming surrogates.

Crissy shared a few excerpts, and they are too funny! Her daughter is so excited to help out during the pregnancy, but she also has some very honest questions about how the process actually works. She even made sure to include a warning about morning sickness!

It is wonderful to see Crissy’s whole family supporting her decision and learning about surrogacy together.

If your kids have ever asked funny questions about pregnancy, share them with us in the comments.
