The curtain is up on our Musical Movie Series at Apple Blossom! 🍿🎶🎬

Residents recently gathered in our theater to enjoy the timeless Rodgers & Hammerstein classic South Pacific. With comfortable seating, great company, and beloved songs filling the room, it was a wonderful evening of entertainment and nostalgia.

The fun continues all month long! Upcoming features include:

Our residents recently rolled up their sleeves and made homemade cheesecake dip—both blueberry and strawberry varieties—to satisfy every sweet tooth. Served with graham crackers and Nilla wafers, the delicious treats were a big hit with everyone who stopped by for a taste.

Beyond the tasty results, activities like this are especially meaningful. Many residents miss the opportunity to cook and bake, and being able to prepare recipes together brings back fond memories, encourages creativity, and creates wonderful opportunities for connection.

Road trip! Our residents recently enjoyed a wonderful day exploring the beauty of Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Pittsburgh. The stunning Summer Flower Show, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, brought the beloved story to life through breathtaking floral displays, whimsical garden scenes, and vibrant colors around every corner.

From beautiful blooms to great company, it was a day filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of memorable moments. ❤️

It was a delicious afternoon out for the Memory Care residents! We recently visited Eat'n Park for a wonderful lunch outing filled with great food and even better company. Residents enjoyed burgers, sandwiches, battered shrimp, fries, and plenty of smiles around the table.

It was a delightful afternoon spent getting out and enjoying a favorite local spot together.

We're thrilled to celebrate someone who has meant so much to the Apple Blossom family.️

Our Business Office Manager, Debbie B., is retiring, and while we are so happy for her, she will be deeply missed by residents and team members alike. Debbie has never been “just” an associate—she has been a true friend to everyone in our community. Residents often stop by her office simply to chat and share a smile, drawn in by her contagious laugh and caring spirit.

Debbie embodies one of Apple Blossom’s most important core values: compassion. Thank you, Debbie, for the kindness, joy, and warmth you’ve shared over the years. We wish you nothing but happiness in your retirement!

We had a beautiful time celebrating Mother’s Day at Apple Blossom 💐

Our Mother’s Day Tea Party was filled with laughter, meaningful moments, and a few special touches—like refreshing “mom”osas and a delicious spread prepared by Chef Dave and his incredible team, who truly spoiled us.

One of the most heartfelt moments of the day was when our resident Barb shared a touching Mother’s Day poem, reminding us all of the love, strength, and legacy that mothers bring to our lives.

It was a wonderful celebration of the amazing women who make our community so special 💕
