Meet the Person Behind the Smile 😊

Before he’s “Dr. Truax,” his favorite title is simply... Dad. 👶💙

If you ask about his son, don’t be surprised if your appointment turns into a photo slideshow—he’s one proud dad! Alongside his wife, Mackenzie, and their energetic goldendoodle, Toby 🐾, family is at the center of everything he does.

Dr. Truax’s story started right here in North Texas. After graduating from Coppell High School, he attended Texas A&M University, where he says his greatest accomplishment wasn’t earning a degree—it was meeting his future wife, Mackenzie. ❤️👍

When he’s not caring for patients, you’ll likely find him walking Toby, enjoying a competitive game of pickleball, trying to improve his golf swing, or relaxing with a good book.

His commitment to family, service, and building genuine relationships is exactly what made him such a natural fit for The Dentist of Allen.

We know you’ll enjoy getting to know Dr. Truax just as much as we have, and we can’t wait for him to begin caring for our patients this August!

We are excited to announce that Dr. Truax will be joining The Dentist of Allen this August.

Finding the right dentist to join our practice was never simply about credentials or clinical skills. We were looking for someone who shared our commitment to integrity, compassion, service, and putting patients first.

Dr. Truax recently completed a residency focused on caring for our nation’s veterans and brings a strong commitment to patient-centered care. He also offers advanced training in implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and IV conscious sedation, making him one of the few general dentists in North Texas who performs IV Sedation.

As a husband, father, and healthcare provider, he understands the importance of trust, responsibility, and relationships. Most importantly, he shares the same values that have guided our practice since 1983.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Truax to our dental family. Dr. Bishop, Dr. Kim, and our entire team are excited for our patients to meet him and experience the same compassionate, relationship-centered care that has defined The Dentist of Allen for more than 40 years.
