Congratulations to our EMT students on achieving a 100% National Registry psychomotor exam passing rate last evening!

This outstanding accomplishment is a testament to the tremendous hard work, dedication and commitment each student demonstrated throughout our accelerated EMT program. They will face challenges and difficult moments, but with every patient they encounter, they will have the opportunity to provide comfort, reassurance, compassion and a dedication to patient care. We wish them continued success as they begin this important journey in EMS!

Also a sincere thank you goes to all of our dedicated instructors who gave so much of their time, knowledge and passion to our students during this past month!

Our Summer EMT Class has finished up their 4th week of training this past week. Students participated in a variety of realistic scenarios, including mass casualty incident training, vehicle extrication, and a real-world operations afternoon. These hands-on exercises allowed students to experience the full scope of an EMS response from being dispatched to a scene, assessing and treating patients, and ultimately transporting them to the emergency department.

A special thank you to all of our instructors as well as Northampton Regional EMS, Macungie EMS, NOVA EMS and LVHN MedEvac for helping to make the World Ops training tremendous success!

This immersive training culminates the majority of their classroom and practical education as students now begin to prepare for their state psychomotor examination next week.

Week 2 of our Accelerated Summer EMT Program is officially complete! This week, our students continued building their knowledge and hands-on skills by learning lifesaving Stop the Bleed Techniques, including wound packing and tourniquet application. They were also introduced to the administration of IM epinephrine for severe allergic reactions and also learned the basic principles of applying 12-Lead EKG placements.

It's been exciting to watch their confidence and proficiency grow with each skills session. We look forward to seeing their continued growth in the weeks ahead!

We are wrapping up the 1st week of our Summer Accelerated EMT Program! Throughout the week, students have been building a strong foundation in essential EMS skills including CPR, airway and ventilation techniques, spinal immobilization, vital signs assessment and much more.

Each morning is dedicated to classroom instruction where students learn the principles behind emergency patient care. In the afternoon, they put that knowledge into practice through hands-on skill sessions, gaining the confidence and experience needed to respond effectively in real-life emergencies

The Stop the Bleed class was recently presented for the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) Club at Notre Dame High School, East Stroudsburg. This club is geared for students interested in pursuing careers in medicine after graduation.

The program was led by the Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono Injury Prevention Coordinator Jamie Chase. The education focused on teaching lifesaving emergency skills. Students learned how to control severe bleeding by applying direct pressure, using wound-packing techniques and properly placing tourniquets.

This presentation provided important medical knowledge and practical skills that could help save lives in emergency situations while inspiring students to continue exploring healthcare careers.
