We marked The Longest Day in the best way we know how—together. With the help of our friends at Serenity Hospice, Mon & Mels Sweet Scoops Ice Cream Truck brought smiles, laughter, and a little extra joy to our community.
Residents and team members gathered to share something simple yet powerful: connection. From colorful sprinkles to shared stories, each scoop was a reminder that even the smallest moments can spark comfort, belonging, and light.

A Gentle Return to Comfort, Connection, and Calm 🌿

At Heather Glen, we’ve introduced aromatherapy in our Memory Care community—a simple, sensory way to support comfort, calm, and emotional well-being.
Using natural essential oils, this approach may help reduce anxiety, ease agitation, improve mood, and support restful sleep, while also sparking moments of memory and familiarity. Research suggests it may even contribute to fewer falls and reduced reliance on certain medications.
Our use of aromatherapy is not medical, it’s about creating positive emotional experiences through scent. You may notice these calming aromas gently diffused in shared spaces, added to linens, or incorporated into daily routines.
Because sometimes, a familiar scent can bring peace, reassurance, and a sense of home. 🌿
