☀️ Meet Stacie Schott - Owner of Second Home Living

In 2022, my father-in-law reached a point where he needed more care than could be provided at home. We faced the decision so many families face: what do you do when someone you love needs help, but a nursing home just isn't the right fit? He wanted to stay in a real home. So did we.

With a background in nursing, I knew what it would take to make that possible — not just for him, but for others in the same situation. I spent nearly a year working through the licensing process, and in December of 2023, Second Home Living opened its doors.

There is something deeply meaningful about providing a genuine home for seniors during their golden years — not a cold, overcrowded facility, but a place where they're known, cared for, and valued. I see it in our residents every day, and I hear it from their families, who are so relieved to know their loved one is somewhere that truly feels like home.

I'm supported by a family who believes in this work and a staff that brings real experience and real dedication to everything they do. My goals for Second Home Living are simple: to serve as many seniors as possible while never losing what makes us different. Keeping our numbers small is exactly the point — because that's what makes us a home.

Everything is included in monthly rate including assistance with all ADL's, meals, laundry, PT, OT, in house Doctor, 24/7 staffing, medication management, ROM exercises, Activities, assistance with transportation.
