Therapeutic groups at Yellow Bridges are truly one of a kind in our area.

Our founder, Brooke, brings experience from similar programs in the Chicago and Washington, D.C. areas. When Brooke moved here seven years ago, she quickly realized there were no comparable options to support preschool-aged children with more individualized needs.

During her time working in Early Intervention, she saw many children being asked to leave preschool programs for challenges that could have been successfully supported in a therapeutic group setting. Recognizing the gap in services for families in the area, Brooke set out to create a program to fill this need. Looking for a way to support your AAC user’s literacy skills? Does your child have a strong interest in letters and language? Are you searching for another meaningful way to build communication skills?

Our Summer Literacy Program is designed for non-speaking and minimally speaking children who would benefit from direct instruction in letter-sound awareness, sound blending, sight words, and typing skills.
