Meet the Team: Allie, Speech Therapist 👋

Allie has been a Speech Therapist at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison for the past year, joining the team for her very first role after graduating from the University of Northern Iowa!

Allie knew early on that she wanted to work with adults. One of her favorite parts of her role is getting to know the people she works with - their stories, their goals, and the things that are important to them. She loves finding ways to help each person become more independent and continue doing the things they enjoy.

Outside of work, Allie loves spending time with her fiancé and their two dogs. Her weekends are often spent with family and friends, which she says brings her so much happiness.

We’re so glad to have Allie as part of our therapy team and look forward to watching her continue to grow in her career! Say hi to Allie in the comments!

Meet the Team 👋 Walker, Occupational Therapist

For Walker, occupational therapy is about more than helping people reach their goals, it’s also about getting to know the person behind them.

Walker has been with our team for just over a year and a half and enjoys helping patients regain independence, make progress, and work toward the things that matter most to them. One of his favorite parts of his role is the relationships he builds along the way and hearing the unique stories and life experiences each person has to share.

Outside of work, Walker enjoys spending time with his wife, Maddey, and their 6-month-old son, Callum. He also likes staying active and making time for family and friends.

Look Out Ducks!! Elm Springs Assisted Living tenants were on a duck hunt today. We had great fun picking those ducks off their perches with our “high powered” nerf guns. We have some real sharp shooters here!

Meet the Team 👋 Kenzie, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Kenzie has been part of the Rehabilitation Center of Allison therapy team for nearly a year, helping patients regain their independence and confidence through occupational therapy. What she enjoys most about her role is watching patients make progress, knowing she's made a positive difference in their day, and bringing a smile to their faces along the way.

Outside of work, Kenzie and her boyfriend recently purchased their first home, where they live with their two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves any opportunity to be outdoors.
