As a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Loetscher manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Loetscher practices a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise ranging from implant reconstructive surgery to corrective jaw surgery and wisdom tooth removal. In addition, Dr. Loetscher has one of the largest and most reputable dental implant practices in the southeast United States. Dr. Loetscher and his staff are fully trained in the administration of anesthesia, both general anesthesia and I.V. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. In addition, general anesthesia provided by a board certified anesthesiologist, Howard Odom, MD, is available within our facility.

For almost a year, our nurses Sherry and Sami have been hard at work helping prepare AOMS as we pursue AAAHC accreditation — a nationally recognized standard for quality and patient safety in ambulatory healthcare.

From reviewing policies and procedures to making sure every detail meets the highest standards, a lot of time, teamwork, and dedication has gone into this process (and clearly, a lot of paperwork 😅).

On September 17, Dr. Christian “Andy” Loetscher will present Sleep Dentistry, Airway, TMD & Orthognathic Surgery — an updated look at the important role dentistry plays in recognizing airway disorders and guiding patients toward appropriate treatment.

Topics will include airway and UARS diagnosis, the relationship between airway disorders and TMD, treatment options, and the role of orthognathic surgery in improving airway, function, and overall health.

Every jaw surgery case begins with careful analysis and precise planning. Using advanced 3D imaging and virtual surgical planning, Dr. Loetscher evaluates jaw position, facial balance, bite alignment, and airway anatomy to develop a customized surgical plan for each patient.
