Calling all little ghosts, goblins, superheroes and princesses! 👻🎃

The residents at WEL-Life at Alta are ready for some Halloween fun. Bring your little trick-or-treaters to the facility from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, October 31, for some treats, smiles and a chance to show off those costumes!

Today is the first day of October and that means it is time to put out your halloween decorations! We made these adorable signs that can be hung on your door or anywhere you would like to put them. They did an amazing job!

Some people just shine brightly… and we’re blessed to know quite a few of them here at WEL-Life at Alta.

✨ September 13-19 is National Assisted Living Week and this year’s theme – Shining Through the Years – couldn’t be more fitting. It’s a time to celebrate our residents and all they’ve lived through and the stories and knowledge they share with us.

It’s also an opportunity to shine a light on the staff, families, friends and volunteers who all play a part in making WEL-Life feel like home.

We can’t wait to celebrate this special week with some special people. ❤️

So I have been trying to keep these ladies busy with crafts. Crafts are so much fun and we always have a good time while doing them. These suncatchers turned out so gorgeous!

We did another craft today. We started out with clothes pins, hot glued them together to make a dragonfly, and then we painted them. We always have a great together and they do an amazing job!

Even though today was gloomy, we still grilled out and the food was amazing! Shout to Bill and Jeff(Ginny's son) for grilling in the rain. Cindy brought in the corn from her farm. We had pork burgers, corn on the cob, potato salad, and watermelon. The ladies were nice enough to help me shuck the corn this morning. It turned out to be a great day!

Our thanks go to Professor William Feis and his daughter Phoebe Feis from BVU for sharing artifacts from the BCU in WWII Exhibit with us. The residents were delighted. The exhibit will be available for viewing at BVU until Thursday.
