Have you considered how you'll want to be remembered on anniversaries and birthdays?

Maybe you'd love for your family to make your famous chocolate cake every year on your birthday, even if it never turns out quite like yours did. Or perhaps you'd want them to visit that little diner where you always ordered the same breakfast, sharing stories about all the funny things you used to say.

These special days will come every year, and your family will want to honor you in ways that feel meaningful. When you share what brings you joy on these occasions, you help them create celebrations that keep your spirit alive.

What traditions do you hope they'll continue? And what new ones would you want them to start?

Tommorow marks a very special anniversary 💌

On October 17, 1946, Richard Feynman wrote to his late wife, Arline, sixteen months after her death.
Before the Nobel Prize, before decades at Caltech, before he became one of the most recognizable physicists of the twentieth century, he was simply a young widower trying to make sense of grief.

“I adore you, sweetheart,” he wrote.

Today, Richard P. Feynman rests at Mountain View Cemetery alongside his wife, Gweneth.

The details you add to a monument tell the person's story to everyone who visits for generations to come. A fishing pole engraving, musical notes, symbols representing what they loved, a favorite verse, their military service, the hobbies that filled their weekends are all touches that turn a stone with a name and dates into something that captures who they actually were.

Future family members who never met them will walk past that monument and learn something real about the person being remembered. We love helping families think through which details deserve recognition and how to arrange everything in a way that feels true to the life being honored.

Call us at 626-794-7133, or stop by to talk about making the monument reflect their story.

Funerals matter because they give you a chance to say goodbye in a way that feels right, while also bringing the closure and understanding you need to carry the loss with you.

They help you shift from loving someone in everyday life to honoring them through stories, legacy, and memories that last forever.

If you've attended a funeral or memorial recently, you may be carrying more than you expected. We're sorry for the loss that brought you there.

Funerals have a way of bringing your own wishes into focus. You might start to notice what feels right and what you'd do differently in the music and readings, the setting, and the overall tone.

Preplanning while those thoughts are fresh means your family has a plan to follow when they need it most, with your voice part of every decision.

When you're ready, we're here. Call us at 626-794-7133 and we'll find a time that works for you.

"Can I be buried with my pet?"

Pets are family too, and this question comes up more often than you might think. Some cemeteries allow cremated pet remains to be buried with their owner, while others have restrictions, and a few even have dedicated sections for people and pets together. If this matters to you, talk with us during planning, and we’ll help you find a cemetery that honors that wish. 🐾💙
