For those who haven't been able to take my Intro to Tarot class yet, I am offering it next Wednesday at the Guilderland Library! Be sure to register.

Join Star & Splendor to learn the basics of tarot on September 23 at 6PM.

- Learn how your deck is organized and why.
- Understand how the elements are expressed through the cards and how they can help you interpret them.
- Learn how the numbers on the cards connect to their meaning.
- Receive useful spreads and determine which to use.
- Establish a reading practice (shuffling, laying out the cards, asking questions, delivering interpretations).
- Troubleshoot your readings.
This class will set you up for greater success and confidence to grow as a reader!

I took a sip already, but I wanted to highlight that we have new latte cups if you plan to sit awhile. And the latte art looks fab in them. ☕️ The rear parlor has additional comfy seating and is a quiet space for you to enjoy.

This is truly exciting. You have been asking and we have been searching for a baker to drop off some delicious snacks to go with your tea and coffee. Now we have colossal cookies and tea breads with locally sourced ingredients. They’re already getting rave reviews. Stop in and stay awhile or grab and go!

This week: chocolate chip mega cookies, macadamia-cherry-dark chocolate mega cookies, pumpkin spice bread, and apple crisp bread made with Altamont Orchards apples!

Cold mornings and evenings signal the shift to hot drinks as hand warmers, and we have got you covered with cute mugs and tea wares! This one reminds me of the fat toad I used to find in my flower pot on my patio every spring. It was his Winter hibernation spot year after year. I’m taking a break over here in our new cozy sitting room in the shop. Stop in to see how things are changing!

We have some new fall specials rolling out this week! The iced tea for this season is Witch’s Brew, a black tea with elderberry and fermented hops. It gets rave reviews! We’re also offering it in a tea latte- the Misty Witch. It’s perfectly restorative.

This week’s dairy delivery will include local Altamont Orchards cider, so will be offering cider with chai. Pastry and cookies with fall flavors arrive next Wednesday! We’re working hard to rearrange the rear parlor with comfy seating and small tables for quiet conversation, study, and reading. 📚 check our updated Fall hours and stop by taste some new flavors!
