American Sycamore tree. They are moderately allergenic in the spring time.

The giveaway is the distinctive camouflage-like exfoliating bark—patches of tan, olive, cream, and gray.

In Bryant Park, these are London plane trees, which are widely planted in NYC because they tolerate pollution, compacted soil, and urban conditions very well. They do have them in central Florida, just not as prevalent as New York.

Natural Food Oral Immunotherapy (OIT) is as effective as omalizumab.

Data presented at the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology.

Mult-allergen oral immunotherapy showed similar effectiveness to Xolair in helping patients build tolerance to foods.

One option : $30-40,000+ per year with ongoing injections.
The other: carefully dosed exposure to the actual food.

Different mechanisms
Comparable outcomes.

Cutting-edge research continues to show that natural food exposure, done correctly, can be very effective.
