Sarah Foster Doula BADT trained Full Spectrum Doula, Repro Advocate, Community Cultivator, and Co-Chair Central Florida Birth Network ❤️🧿🌈🌿

My name is Sarah, and I am a trained Childbirth Educator and Postpartum Doula that provides support and education online and in person in Central FL. I am a mother of 3 beautiful children and grandmother to one handsome grandson (so far). I also have the honor of being a co-chair and regional contact for the Central Florida Birth Network. I began my journey of supporting moms and other birthing p

eople over 20 years ago when I was still a young mother and found myself relying on the compassion and support of wise women in my neighborhood. They gave me advise, tools, and gently guided me to navigate my own parenting path. My desire to provide support came from a place of needing and receiving nonjudgmental, nurturing support and wanting to give the same to others. Through my private practice my services center the lived experience of BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, and Differently Abled communities and I welcome members of these communities and our allies to experience compassionate, culturally competent, trauma informed, and whole person centered education and support that empowers you to embrace pregnancy and parenting in your own unique way.

What I've Learned Organizing Birth Community

Lesson #1: People Want to Help 💜

When we launched a drive to collect supplies for 100 postpartum kits, I worried we'd struggle to get everything we needed. Instead, our community showed up in a big way. People donated. Volunteers packed kits. Partners shared resources.

The lesson? Most people want to help!

They're often just waiting for an invitation. ✨

I've spent years organizing events, building partnerships, advocating for change, and connecting people to resources.

This summer I'm taking a step back to reflect on what those experiences have taught me about leadership, community, advocacy, and care.

First lesson coming soon. 💜

Oh hey there, it's been a minute!

I'm Sarah 🩷 I'm a BADT trained full spectrum doula, I'm also a childbirth educator, I support placenta ritual, and I'm the Co-Chair and one of the founding organizers of the Central Florida Birth Network...which is why I'm not always on this account 🤣

When I'm here, whatever I share is a representation of me as a community advocate, mother, sister, friend, and leader. Expect it to be a little bit less organized and aesthetic and a lot more authentic.

You grew a whole organ for your baby… what if it could support your postpartum too? 🌿

Placenta encapsulation is one way families continue that connection after birth. Some people use it for:
• energy + mood support
• postpartum recovery
• milk supply

It’s not one-size-fits-all, and the research is still evolving, but for many, it feels like a grounded, intentional part of postpartum care.

If you’re curious about what’s possible, I’ve got you 🤍

I went into the woods today because my nervous system needed quiet. I needed space to breathe in a moment that feels heavy.

While I walked, I kept thinking about the harm happening around us. ICE activity hurts communities and they continue to harm pregnant and postpartum moms, parents, and even children. It's disgusting, it's disheartening, and it can feel like too much.

But in this time, the best thing to do is start where we are. Care for each other in sustainable ways. Make phone calls, give rides, donate time and resources. Care for ourselves so we can continue to stand up for our neighbors. That’s how we keep moving forward.
