☀️ Sunny days are here! Before heading outside, take a moment to choose a sunscreen that helps protect your little one’s delicate skin.

Our latest graphic highlights 10 EWG-rated mineral sunscreens for babies and kids that are made with zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide, offering broad-spectrum protection without many of the ingredients families prefer to avoid.

🌿 A few sun safety reminders:
☀️ Seek shade whenever possible
👒 Wear protective clothing and wide-brimmed hats
🧴 Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours (and after swimming or sweating)
💧 Remember that “water resistant” does not mean waterproof
🤍 For babies under 6 months, prioritize shade and protective clothing, and talk with your pediatric provider about sun protection recommendations.

Every family has different needs, so choose the sunscreen that works best for your child and your adventures this summer!

📖 This list is based on the Environmental Working Group (EWG) 2025 Sunscreen Guide.

💜 Sleep is essential for babies and parents alike.

For many families, co-sleeping (when practiced safely) can be a beautiful way to nurture connection while making nighttime feeding and rest more manageable.

Some potential benefits include:
✨ Supporting breastfeeding and maintaining milk supply
✨ Helping babies regulate breathing, heart rate, and body temperature
✨ Encouraging longer, more restful sleep for both parent and baby
✨ Strengthening the parent-baby bond through closeness and responsiveness

Every family is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to infant sleep. If you’re considering co-sleeping, learning about safe sleep practices can help you make an informed decision that works best for your family.

At Tree of Life Birth & Gynecology, we’re here to provide evidence-based education, compassionate support, and guidance without judgment—so you can confidently choose what feels right for you and your baby. 💜

Have questions about infant sleep, breastfeeding, or newborn care? We’d love to support you.

💜 Staying informed is one of the best ways to protect yourself and your growing family.

The CDC is currently investigating a multistate outbreak of Cyclospora, a parasite that can cause prolonged gastrointestinal illness. While the source has not yet been confirmed, fresh produce is being investigated.

If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, it’s helpful to know:
🌿 Cyclospora does not pass through breast milk.
🌿 The greatest concern during pregnancy is dehydration from prolonged diarrhea.
🌿 Cooking fruits and vegetables can reduce risk while more information becomes available.
🌿 If you develop persistent diarrhea, abdominal cramping, or other concerning symptoms, contact your healthcare provider.

Knowledge empowers us to make thoughtful, informed choices for ourselves and our families. 💜

At Tree of Life Birth & Gynecology, we’re committed to sharing evidence-based information so you can navigate pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood with confidence.

Have questions? Our team is always here to help. 💜
