Well... wow.

We just slipped into the Globe Theatre a few minutes before Shrek 2 started, and all three theaters are packed. Aundi shared over 180 people showed up!

We don't really have the words for how grateful we are.

When we offered to sponsor this movie, we hoped a few families might come out, enjoy an afternoon together, laugh a little, and make some memories. Instead, Greenville showed up in a big way.

Thank you for supporting local events. Thank you for supporting downtown Greenville. Thank you for supporting Terra Luna. Most of all, thank you for being the kind of community that still comes together to share experiences with one another.

Our hearts are full today. And from the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Greenville. We are incredibly lucky to be part of this community.

Well, today's the big day.

Shrek 2 hits the Globe Theatre in Greenville this afternoon. The movie starts at 1:30 PM. It's free. You don't need tickets. You don't need a plan. Just show up, grab a seat, and enjoy a little laughter with your community.

We'd love to see you there.

Wishing all of you a beautiful Friday, a relaxing weekend, and just enough adventure to keep things interesting.

Did you know we have jigsaw puzzles at the shops?

Yep. And not just any puzzles.

We carry the kinds of puzzles you'd expect to find at Terra Luna and It's Raining Zen—zodiac designs, celestial artwork, mystical themes, vintage botanical illustrations, maps, natural history prints, and more. If you're a fan of our Cavallini & Company vintage posters, you'll be happy to know that many of those same beautiful designs are also available as puzzles.

Puzzles have become one of our favorite ways to spend an afternoon, especially when life starts feeling a little too loud. There's something deeply satisfying about taking hundreds of scattered pieces and slowly bringing order to the chaos. Your brain gets a workout, your attention settles into the present moment, and for a while the endless to-do lists, news feeds, and distractions fade into the background.

Researchers have found that jigsaw puzzles engage both sides of the brain, improve memory and problem-solving skills, and can even help reduce stress. It's part meditation, part challenge, and part treasure hunt.

Stop by and see what designs we've added lately. You might just find your next favorite project.

Goodnight all!

Today was the feast day of Saint Kevin, one of Ireland's most beloved saints, and his story feels especially relevant in a world that rarely sits still.

Kevin lived in the 6th century and eventually retreated into the wilderness of Glendalough, seeking solitude, prayer, and a deeper connection with the natural world. According to tradition, while he was praying with his arms outstretched, a blackbird landed in his hand and built a nest there. Rather than disturb the bird, Kevin remained still until the eggs hatched.

Whether you view the story as history, legend, or a little of both, its message has endured for more than 1,400 years: patience and kindness matter. And the natural world responds differently when we stop trying to control it.

Saint Kevin became known as a protector of animals, a friend of the forests, and a reminder that spirituality is often found not in grand gestures, but in quiet moments of compassion.

You may have noticed a theme in some of our posts recently: slow down, listen to the birds, sit beneath a tree, watch the clouds move overhead. The world doesn't always need more noise. Sometimes it just needs a little more gentleness.

Have you ever had a meaningful encounter with an animal in nature that stayed with you long after the moment passed? Something to think about tonight... and please feel welcome to comment below if you believe others might learn from your experience!

Goodnight,
Donna and Dave

Just a reminder you are officially invited to a free screening of Shrek 2 at Greenville's Globe Theater this Friday.

No tickets. No catch. No purchase required. Just show up, grab a seat, and enjoy one of the greatest animated masterpieces ever created.

We were thrilled to sponsor Shrek 2 because, honestly, if any movie represents Terra Luna, it's this one. Think about it. A talking donkey. A fairy godmother with questionable ethics. A giant gingerbread man. A kingdom full of magical creatures. A dragon. A potion factory. A hero who doesn't fit society's expectations. And a storyline that repeatedly reminds us not to judge people by appearances.

That is basically our customer base.

Let's also acknowledge that Shrek spends the entire movie learning that authenticity is more important than pretending to be someone you're not. That's a message we can get behind.

So come spend an afternoon laughing, quoting every line you already know by heart, and introducing a new generation to a movie that somehow gets funnier every year.

See you Friday at the Globe.

Guess what this is.

If you guessed cut wormwood, give yourself a gold star!

Officially known as Artemisia absinthium, wormwood has been used for centuries in traditional herbal practices. Historically, it has been used to support digestion, ease gastric discomfort, stimulate appetite, and help reduce fevers.

But wormwood's story goes far beyond the physical. In metaphysical traditions, wormwood has long been associated with protection, psychic awareness, and spiritual clarity. It is often used in rituals intended to remove unwanted energy, strengthen intuition, and enhance dreamwork. Many practitioners burn it as incense, carry it in charm bags, or place it near doors and windows as a protective herb.

Its connection to the Moon and the Divine Feminine goes back thousands of years. In fact, its botanical name, Artemisia, is linked to Artemis, the Greek goddess of the moon, wilderness, and intuition.

And if herbs are your thing, you're in luck. Between both stores, we carry well over 100 varieties of herbs. From familiar favorites like lavender, rose petals, chamomile, nettle, and the ever-popular Jericho flower, to harder-to-find botanicals like vervain, witch's grass, mistletoe, barberry root, and dozens more, our herb walls are packed with traditional plants used in folklore, spirituality, and herbal traditions from around the world.

Whether you're building a tea blend, creating ritual supplies, studying herbalism, or just curious about the stories behind these plants, there's always something new to discover.

Prophecy Stones look like something from another world.

Most are found in Egypt's White Desert, where wind and time have exposed them from ancient geological deposits. Their unusual shapes, rough textures, and almost extraterrestrial appearance have made them favorites among mineral collectors and spiritual practitioners alike.

Scientifically, Prophecy Stones tell a fascinating story. They began as pyrite crystals millions of years ago. Over time, those pyrite crystals were naturally replaced by hematite through a process called pseudomorphism. The pyrite disappeared, but its crystal structure remained. What you see today is hematite preserving the shape of the original pyrite crystal — a natural record of transformation captured in stone.

Spiritually, Prophecy Stones are associated with intuition, insight, inner vision, and personal evolution. Many people work with them during meditation, dreamwork, and periods of significant life change. They are often seen as stones that help reveal hidden truths and encourage a deeper understanding of one's path.

Whether you're drawn to their geological story or their spiritual symbolism, Prophecy Stones are among the most unusual and conversation-worthy minerals you'll ever encounter.

Goodnight, friends.

Monday and Tuesday are our weekend, and this weekend gifted us exactly what we needed - June's arrival.

Yesterday, we woke to gentle rain tapping on the windows, wandered through the flower garden with coffee in hand, and listened as the birds seemed to celebrate the arrival of June. Today it was brilliant sunshine. No schedule. No rush. No notifications demanding attention. Just birds singing, flowers, our barn cat gracefully brushing against our legs, and the quiet reminder that the world keeps turning whether we're busy or not.

Modern life has convinced many of us that every moment should be productive. That if we're not accomplishing something, we're somehow falling behind. But human beings weren't designed to spend every waking hour staring at screens, chasing algorithms, pursing relevance, being outraged, or carrying the weight of the world on our shoulders.

We were meant to notice the seasons changing. To feel rain on our skin. To hear birds greet the morning. To sit quietly and remember that we are part of nature, not separate from it.

Science tells us that time outdoors lowers stress, reduces anxiety, improves sleep, and helps restore mental focus. But most of us don't need a study to tell us what our hearts already know. We feel different after an hour in the garden, a walk through the woods, or a quiet evening watching the sunset.

The world will still be there tomorrow. The emails can wait. The chores will still exist. Sometimes the most important thing you can do is slow down long enough to remember what it feels like to simply be alive.

May your evening be peaceful, your sleep be deep, and your morning bring something beautiful worth noticing.

Goodnight, friends.

At Terra Luna and It's Raining Zen, we've always believed something simple: every human being deserves kindness, respect, and the freedom to be authentically themselves.

Pride Month is many things to many people, but for those who spent years wondering if they would be accepted, loved, or understood, it is about courage. It is about finding the strength to live honestly in a world that isn't always welcoming. It's about friendship, family, community, and the simple human desire to belong.

The world gives us enough reasons to build walls between one another. Pride Month is a reminder that compassion builds better bridges. So, whether you're celebrating, supporting someone you love, or simply learning more about the experiences of others, we hope this month brings a little more understanding, a little more acceptance, and a little more kindness into the world.

Our message this month is the same message it is every month: be a good human.

All are welcome here. All are valued here. And everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect.

Happy Pride Month!
