Congratulations to Ashley Johnson, CNA, on being named Oakwood Health Services' Employee of the Month for June!
Ashley is an incredible CNA whose hard work, compassion, and attentiveness make a difference every day. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure our residents receive the highest quality care, and her kindness and dedication do not go unnoticed.
The smiles from our residents and the appreciation from her coworkers speak volumes about the impact she has on those around her. We are so grateful to have Ashley as part of the Oakwood team, and it’s clear that many others feel the same way.

As our nation celebrated the 250th anniversary of Independence Day, Oakwood residents, staff, and families came together for a memorable holiday weekend filled with patriotic spirit. From festive red, white, and blue outfits to special visits with loved ones, the day was full of smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments.
We loved seeing everyone show off their Fourth of July pride, and it was especially wonderful to welcome so many families who spent time celebrating with their loved ones. Thank you to everyone who helped make the holiday so special—we're grateful for the memories made together!

Saturday was National Bingo Day, and our crew showed up ready to play! We’re talking rounds on rounds of bingo, dressed up, prizes flying, and just the right amount of friendly competition.
If there’s one thing our residents love, it’s bingo—and they made sure to celebrate it properly. Safe to say we got our fill… and then some 😉

From shaping young minds as a teacher to caring for our residents through countless NOC shifts, Jim has truly dedicated his life to serving others—with warmth, patience, and a whole lot of smiles.

Oakwood won’t be the same without him, but we couldn’t be more excited to see what’s ahead. Thank you for everything, Jim—you’ve made a difference that will stick with us always!

Please join us in welcoming Emma Reinhardt to Oakwood Health Services as the UWEC Administrative Residency Student!

Emma is completing her Administrative Residency at Oakwood Health Services while finishing her senior year at University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, where she is majoring in Health Care Administration and minoring in Gerontology.

During her residency, Emma will gain experience in healthcare operations, leadership, resident services, quality improvement, and more.

"One of my favorite parts of healthcare is building relationships and hearing people's stories. I am excited to get involved in resident activities, attend events, and learn what makes Oakwood such a welcoming place to live and work." – Emma

Emma is being mentored by Oakwood Executive Director and UW–Eau Claire HCAD alumni, Kaiya.

"It’s been a full-circle moment to help guide the next generation of leaders in a program that played such an important role in shaping my own career. Watching students apply what they’ve learned and grow in a real-world setting is incredibly rewarding, and I’m honored to be part of that journey." – Kaiya

North Shore Health is proud to partner with UW–Eau Claire and host healthcare administration students at several of our locations across Wisconsin, helping develop the next generation of healthcare leaders through hands-on learning and mentorship.

Celebrating National Bomb Pop Day the sweetest way 🍧💥
Staff and residents enjoyed a fun treat with a variety of Bomb Pops—classic, Candy Clash, and even Nerds! It may not have been a hot day, but the smiles (and colorful tongues!) made it feel like summer anyway.

Sunshine, fresh air, and happy hearts ☀️🚌
Today we took a trip to Irvine Park to visit the animals and enjoy lunch outdoors—and it did not disappoint! From spotting furry friends to soaking up the beautiful weather, our residents truly loved getting out and about in the community.
Moments like these remind us how special summer can be. We’re already looking forward to the next adventure! 🌿🐾🍽️
