Rabies positive bats are on the rise in California! Make sure your pets are up to date on their rabies vaccine to keep you and your loved ones safe! The first rabies vaccine is good for one year in dogs and cats then given every other year. Livestock coming into close contact with people (such as horses, pet pigs, goats, sheep and cattle) can also be vaccinated against rabies yearly. Call us if you need to get your pets updated or want to know when they are due.

Help us help you!

Federal law requires veterinarians and clinics to have a current vet-client-patient relationship in order to be able to prescribe medications and sometimes even see after hours emergencies. Please make sure ALL of your pets are current on their yearly exams and/or vaccines so that we can better help you in your time of need. If we haven’t seen your pet in over 1 year, we will not sign prescriptions for their online meds and cannot fill their in-house refills until they have been seen. This also includes flea, tick, heartworm and dewormer meds!

Thank you for your understanding and for supporting your local small town vet! We really appreciate you all. 🐾
