JCMH ADDS NURSE MIDWIFE TO WOMEN’S CLINIC

Jackson County Memorial Hospital welcomes Chantel Haynes, APRN and Certified Nurse Midwife, to JCMH Women’s Health Associates. She joins Dr. Julia Rivera, Dr. Vicente Sanchez, Dr. LaToya Smith, and Nurse Practitioner Abigail Hawk.

Haynes received her RN, ADN in 2010, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2014. She received her Advance Practice Registered Nurse and became a Certified Nurse Midwife from Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky in 2024.

She has clinic patient experience, perinatal nursing experience in hospital and birth center environments, and offers lactation support focusing on education, counseling, and hands-on assistance with breastfeeding assessments.

She says of her practice, “The word midwife means with-woman, and that is my goal. I want to walk with the women I see, and meet them where they are. My functional medicine outlook is very natural-minded. I work in collaboration with the OB-GYNs in our clinic and can deliver low-risk babies in the hospital. I also do full gynecological services for girls entering puberty and all ages forward.”

JCMH is currently updating and modernizing our Air Handler in the Pharmacy that allows us to process and compound chemotherapy medications.
Our Chemotherapy compounding is currently ON-HOLD while we complete these upgrades.
No worries!!
We will RESUME CHEMOTHERAPY COMPOUNDING SERVICES
once these upgrades are complete.
