Physicians Surgical Hospitals' GEM Award winner for the month of August is Heidi Vogelgesang!
Nominated by coworkers, this is what they had to say about Heidi:
“Heidi has been amazing since the first day she started working with us! She is always so ready to help anywhere she is asked. She not only works in PACU, but she has now learned how to work pre-op, pre-admit, lab, and also does pain clinic! When our boss, Mike, was out, she was our "interim boss," and she did amazing! She would always help make appointments and fax PT scripts, help with blocks in pre-op, clean beds and rooms, help in lab...etc. I wouldn't be able to remember everything she did, but she was amazing, being everywhere and helping everyone. When making the assignments for the next day, she would take our opinion into consideration and was very considerate and kind. Anyways... she not only does all that...she does it like a pro! She is very intelligent, knowledgeable and proactive. She finds things to do and doesn't wait to be told to do something. Heidi is sure one of a kind and we are so blessed to have such a valuable asset to our hospital! ”
“Heidi is an amazing co-worker and friend who always goes the extra mile to keep us going. She also did an amazing job as a fill-in manager! We are truly blessed to have her with us!”
