🏃‍♀️🔥 What a great weekend at our 2026 Canyon 2 Mile Torch Run at Bar Z Winery! 🔥🏃

We are so grateful to everyone who came out to run, support, volunteer, and help make this year’s Texas Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics such a special event in support of Special Olympics Texas athletes!

A huge THANK YOU to Bar Z Winery for hosting us and providing such a beautiful setting for this year’s run!

We also want to recognize and thank our incredible local law enforcement and first responders for showing up in support of our athletes:

🔥 One of the most meaningful moments of the morning was seeing the Special Olympics Torch proudly carried by Sergeant Burton and Lindsey, representing the incredible partnership between law enforcement and Special Olympics Texas.

A very special thank you to our Resource Board member, Marisa Hart, who played a huge role in helping organize this event and bring everything together. We are so appreciative of the time, work, and heart she put into making this year’s Torch Run a success! 🤍

Thank you to Elisabeth Campbell for serving as our wonderful MC and helping keep the morning fun and exciting!

We are also incredibly grateful to Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages for supporting our event, Travelin' Tom's Coffee of West Amarillo and DonutNV Amarillo, Texas food trucks for keeping everyone fueled, and the Lone Star Runners Club for providing the official race timing and helping everything run smoothly! ☕🍩🏃

🩺 A special thank you to Dr. Medford for serving as our event medic and helping ensure the safety and well-being of our runners and participants throughout the morning. We greatly appreciate you being there for us!

And finally, THANK YOU to every runner, volunteer, supporter, community partner, law enforcement officer, and first responder who joined us. Events like this are possible because of a community that continues to show up for Special Olympics Texas athletes and support our mission of creating a more Unified world.

Friday, September 4
5:00–7:00 p.m.
Bubba's 33 - Amarillo, TX – Amarillo

Find us near the restaurant entrance!

Registration is $40 and includes a T-shirt while supplies last.

To receive official race timing, you must register before packet pickup ends at 7:00 p.m. Race-day registration will still be available, but those registering on race day will not qualify for the timing system.

THANK YOU Town Square Nutrition & Energy for graciously opening your doors to Special Olympics Texas – Panhandle and helping us host this fundraiser! 🥤🥤🥤

Because of Town Square’s generosity and the support of our community, we raised $339 for Special Olympics Texas athletes right here in the Panhandle!

We would also like to thank NewsChannel10 for coming out and helping us share this special event with the community!
