Trauma doesn’t always look like a breakdown.
Sometimes it looks like someone who’s always a little on edge. Always prepared for the worst. Always tired in a way that sleep doesn’t fix.
👉🏻 Trauma is a response to overwhelming experience — and that response lives in the body, not just the mind. The nervous system learns to stay on guard, even when the danger is long gone.
👉🏻 Hypervigilance, physical tension, disrupted sleep, and being easily startled are all ways the body holds what the mind has tried to move past.
💙 If your body has been trying to tell you something — it might be worth listening.
Does any of this resonate? We’d love to hear from you in the comments.
