Patreka Marie Harrison, 54, of Amarillo, passed away on May 26th, 2026. She was born in Puyallup, Washington on March 14, 1972, to Connie Burgess and Thomas Ewing.

She was a firecracker of a woman—lightning in a jar, with a heart of gold and a wild spirit that could never be tamed. Her beautiful smile could light up any room, and her striking blue eyes were the kind you could get lost in. Those same blue eyes became one of her greatest gifts to her children, as she proudly passed them down to all three of them. If you told her she couldn’t do something, she’d do it twice just to prove you wrong. Stubborn, determined, and fiercely independent, she approached life on her own terms and never let anyone define her limits.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, caring sister, and proud Mamaw. Her family was the center of her world, and she loved them fiercely. She found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

For 29 years, she walked through life hand in hand with her husband, Larry Harrison Jr., sharing 27 years of marriage filled with love, perseverance, and unwavering devotion. Together they faced challenges that would have tested even the strongest of couples, yet their bond only deepened with time. Through every season of life, they continued to look at each other with the same love—and perhaps even more—as they had in the beginning. Their love story was one of loyalty, strength, and a partnership that endured through it all.

She enjoyed thrifting and had a special talent for finding hidden treasures where others saw none. She loved spending time with her friends, cherished her morning coffee rituals with her mother, moments filled with conversation, laughter, and love. She adored taking drives with her precious dog, Suki, who proudly held the title of her “passenger princess,” and “boogie boarded” every adventure that came her way.

Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She loved sneaking off to take them fishing, creating unforgettable moments filled with laughter, stories, and the simple joys of being together. To them, she wasn’t just Mamaw—she was a partner in adventure.

She was the kind of person who would give the clothes off her back to help someone in need. Her generosity, compassion, and willingness to help others knew no bounds. She lived life to the fullest and encouraged those around her to do the same.

Above all, she was a phoenix. As a burn survivor, she faced challenges that would have broken many, yet she rose from the ashes time and time again. Through courage, determination, and unwavering strength, she defied the odds and inspired everyone who knew her. She fought every battle with grace until she could fight no longer.

If there is one thing her family knows for certain, it’s that she was never in a hurry. She may have been late to just about everything, but she always showed up—usually with a smile, a story, and enough love to make the wait worthwhile.

Though her absence leaves an unimaginable void, her love, laughter, strength, and adventurous spirit will remain with those who loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of resilience, kindness, and joy that will never be forgotten.

And though she may be late to her own arrival, Heaven can rest assured—she’ll eventually show up, smiling as always.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Eddie and Barbara Burgess, Dave and Audrey Ewing; her father, Thomas Ewing; a nephew Raymond Brassfield, and her granddaughters Novalee Morrison and Maylee Morrison.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Larry Harrison Jr; her daughters, Kyla Lunsford and her partner Andy Holley, and Kayla Morrison and her husband Chase; her son Kody Harrison; her grandchildren Talyn Lambright, Syliz Holley, Jayden Morrison, Thea Morrison, and Asher Morrison; her mother Connie Burgess; her brother Gary Ewing; her niece Ocean Ewing, and numerous extended family members and dear friends.

Memorial Servies will be held on June 13, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave. in Amarillo.
