Cecil Louis Burch was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 17, 1937 to Leland Clarence Burch and Daphna Aretta Burch. He passed from this life on June 3, 2026, at the age of: 88 years 11 months 17 days.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. - 7:30 P.M., Friday, June 5, 2026, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 6, 2026, at North Amarillo Church of Christ, 801 NE 15th Ave. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

He married Barbara Jean Arnold, his childhood sweetheart, on June 23, 1955, and was married to her for almost 71 years.

He began his life living in a one room log cabin in Northern New Mexico. There was no electricity and their cabin was lighted by a coal oil lamp.

His means of transportation was a little brown and white Indian paint pony that he rode to school in Lindrith, New Mexico.

He attended the first grade in a one room school house where one teacher taught grades one through six. There were six rows of desks one for each grade. The family then moved to Espanola, New Mexico, where he attended the McCurdy School and then transferred to the Espanola Public schools. When he was in the 10th grade the family moved to Moriarty, New Mexico, where he attended the eleventh grade. The family then moved to Garden City, Kansas, where he graduated from High School.

He later graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico, with a double major, one in Bible and one major in History. He did graduate work in the field of education at ENMU Portales, New Mexico and Southwestern State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

In his 67+ years of preaching, he preached for the Churches of Christ in New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.

While in College at ENMU, he and his wife Barbara worked at the New Mexico Christian Children's Home as House-parents, where he was printer for the Children's Home press and trained several boys in the printing trade. While there he preached for the Church of Christ in San Jon, New Mexico.

He, his wife Barbara and three children, David, Diane, and Debra, moved to Oklahoma where he preached for the church of Christ in Sweetwater, and also taught the fifth grade in Reydon, Oklahoma public school. One year he taught his sister Betty, a challenge for both of them. While in Sweetwater a fourth child, Donna, was born in the nearby town of Sayre, Oklahoma.

He and his little family then moved to Hollis, Oklahoma where he became the Assistant Superintendent of Westview Boys' Home.
He worked at Westview for over six years and attended the Church of Christ in Hollis where he was selected as one of the Elders for the church and served as Secretary/treasurer for the Elders.

While living in Hollis two children, Darla and Danny, were added to his little family.

He then moved to Amarillo, Texas where he became the Superintendent of High Plains Children's Home and director of Christian Haven Maternity Home for u***d mothers. He served as Superintendent for fourteen years.

The Home served dependent, neglected and abused children and placed children for adoption. He was proud that he was able to place the four hundredth child for adoption just before he resigned as Superintendent.

As of this date, he placed more children for adoption than anyone in the history of High Plains Children's Home. Some of the children from each of the three children's homes and some of the children placed for adoption have stayed in contact with him over the last sixty plus years.

After retiring from High Plains, he became Vice President and also later President & CEO of the Westview Foundation-associated with Westview Boys' Home.

In 1984 while preaching at the Eastridge Church of Christ he began working with the Asian refugees from Laos. He and Manorath Makkahavane worked together and taught and baptized over a 100 of the Laotian refugees.

While he was preaching for the North Amarillo Church of Christ, and serving as one of the elders, the refugees from Burma/Myanmar began moving into the north Amarillo area. Within a few months 5 busses were purchased to bring the Karen speaking people, from Burma, to worship at North Amarillo Church of Christ. He loved working with T.L. Inthavong and Thepha Kaewhamharn with the Asians. He often said that the Asian people were some of the sweetest people he ever worked with.
When the state of Texas began building prisons in the Amarillo area, Cecil was selected as the first director of the Prison Ministry for the Churches of Christ. His responsibilities were to develop the prison ministry program that included raising funds to support the work, working with the Chaplain Department, getting mentors including his daughter Diane to mentor women prisoners, setting up worship services and teaching Bible Classes in the prisons. He and Glen Walton worked together in developing the program. Over the years He and Chaplain Houska of the Neal Unit became great friends.

While working with the prisons he taught and baptized hundreds of inmates.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Daphna Burch; his brother, Clarence Lee Burch; his twin brother; his grandson, JR Vaughn; granddaughter, Erica Wise; and his great-granddaughter, Edith Grace Yates.

06/03/2026

Lee Ann Poldson received her eternal reward on May 30, 2026 at the age of 66.

Lee Ann Glovier Poldson was born to Joe and Marie Glovier on September 21, 1959 in Amarillo, Texas. She was a country girl at heart who lived her whole life on the family farm. She attended Canyon schools for most of her years but graduated from Caprock High School in 1978. She married Rodger Lynch and had two children, Stephanie and Jerad. Lee Ann was a homemaker for most of her children’s growing up years. She was also a “mama” to many of her nieces and nephews, as she was their caregiver during the day for many years. She occasionally took part time jobs to help out, working under Dale Young and her sister Kathy who taught her about accounting, and in a laundry business. She then started a full-time job as the secretary for Lawndale Church of Christ in 1988 and worked there until 1996.

On March 15, 1997, Lee Ann married the love of her life, Philip Poldson. Together, they enjoyed fishing, in the mountains, the ocean, or just in the pond behind the house. They loved trips with friends, and spending time with family. Phil and Lee Ann welcomed many Labrador dogs into their home and enjoyed watching them swim in the ponds and teaching them to retrieve. Their home on the farm was a gathering place for holidays and reunions. Phil was a wonderful caregiver to Lee Ann throughout her battle with cancer, and especially in her final weeks.

Lee Ann began working at Region 16 in 1996. She worked her way up to executive administrative assistant by the time she retired from there in 2023. She then went to work in the accounting department at Advo. She continued working there until April of 2026.

Lee Ann was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She was a member at Lawndale for many years, and taught children and teen girl’s Bible classes, Ladies’ class and hosted small group in her home. She was later a member at Southwest and found so much support and encouragement from the church family there. She lent her beautiful alto voice to many wedding and funeral singing groups, church talent shows, and in every worship service.

Lee Ann was an expert gardener. She absolutely loved having her hands in the dirt, growing things, sharing and preserving them. From flowers to fruits and vegetables, she always had such beautiful, bountiful crops. She lovingly canned vegetables and salsa every year, stocking not only her pantry, but also those of her kids and eventually even grandchildren. Lee Ann was also a wonderful seamstress. When her children were growing up, she made many outfits for them, especially for Stephanie. She made look alike cabbage patch dolls and clothes, and even beautiful formal dresses for weddings. Later, she took up cross stitching and made so beautiful pictures for many people. The biggest treasure to her family, though, is that she made a special quilt for each grandchild, each having many themed cross-stitched squares, including one with their name and birthday on it. Lee Ann most loved family and time with them. She loved to host Thanksgiving and Christmas at her home. She loved to have the whole Glovier clan out for a big family reunion every year. She loved to watch her grandchildren participate in the things they loved to do.

Lee Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Marie Glovier, and her father-in-law, Allen Poldson

She is survived by her husband, Philip Poldson of Amarillo, daughter, Stephanie Pafford and husband David of Floydada, son, Jerad Lynch and wife Kendra of Bushland, grandchildren, Kirsten Smith and husband Zach, Audrey Middleton and husband Cy, Austin Lynch, Preston Pafford, Andrew Pafford, Paige Lynch, Jori Clark, Kimberly Pafford, Knox Clark, Caleb Pafford, and Miles Lynch, great grandchildren, Elaina Middleton, Matthew Roberts and Levi Smith, Siblings, Kathy Martin and husband Otis of Amarillo, Rachel White and husband Gary of Amarillo, Jonita Terrell and husband Dan of Amarillo , Cecil Glovier and wife Deborah of Amarillo, and Victoria Anderson and husband Bruce of McKinney, mother in law, Faye Wilkerson, many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

Memorial service will be held on Friday June 5, 2026 at Southwest Church of Christ, 4515 Cornell St. at 10:30 am. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

On May 30, 2026, after a three-year battle with metastatic breast cancer, our beloved mother, wife, daughter, and friend, Susan Elizabeth White Lewis, went home to be with her Savior.

Susan was born on August 4, 1965, in Borger, TX to Linda Lambert and John Thompson White. From an early age, she was deeply involved in the arts, participating in dance, piano, and choir. After graduating from Borger High School in 1983, she moved to Houston, where she began a successful career in finance and banking. It was in Houston that Susan met her best friend and the love of her life, Sam. The two were married on March 26, 1994, and together they built a beautiful life, welcoming two daughters, Emma and Claire. Susan was a devoted and deeply involved mother who never missed an opportunity to support her children’s passions, activities, and dreams. Susan never met a stranger. She was a friend to everyone she encountered and a dedicated member of her community. She worked for nearly ten years at Amarillo National Bank, volunteered with the Lone Star Ballet Guild and the Amarillo Little Theatre Guild, sang in her church choir, and served on multiple PTA boards. Her generosity, enthusiasm, and servant’s heart left a lasting impact on countless lives.

Susan was a two-time breast cancer survivor, first diagnosed in 2006 and again in 2020. Despite the challenges she faced, she carried herself with remarkable strength, grace, and faith. She had a gift for bringing warmth and joy wherever she went, and her unmistakable laugh could be heard from across the room.

She is preceded in death by her father, John T. White; stepfather, Bill Walker; mother and father-in-law, Charlene and Bill Lewis; and niece, Marissa Rodriquez.

Susan is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Sam Lewis; daughters Emma and Claire Lewis; her mother, Linda Walker of Amarillo, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Hilda Lewis of Angleton, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Susan and Kenneth Armstrong of Hockley, TX, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at Westcliff Bible Church on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. Susan was known for her love of bold patterns and bright colors, so guests are encouraged to wear bright, colorful attire in her honor.

Susan will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

2 Corinthians 16-18: “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

Tricia "Trish" Gail England Shipley passed away on May 30, 2026, in Amarillo, Texas, at the age of 71.

Family services will be scheduled for a later date. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo, Texas.

Trish was born on July 12, 1954, in Idalou, Texas, to Jimmy Bruce England and Winnie "D***s" Schmidt. Throughout her life, she carried a warmth and light that drew people to her. She had a genuine smile, a contagious laugh, and a sparkle in her eyes that those who knew her will never forget.

More than anything, Trish loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved her children fiercely and without condition. She stood by them through every season of life, celebrating their victories and supporting them through their struggles. Her love was steadfast, protective, and endless.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffry Lynn Shipley; her children, Nikkie Diane Love, Justin Lee Singleton, and Atlas Deshon England and spouse Bri England; her stepchildren, Charley Shipley, Jeffry Shipley, and Jared Shipley; her granddaughters, Harlee DeShon McDowell and Evelyn Gail Singleton; her great-granddaughters, Savannah and Edith; a great-grandson; her siblings, Rick England and Tabby Martinez; half siblings Bruce and Michael; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and D***s, her brother, Rusty England, half-sister Rose Reza, and her niece Bethany England.

Trish found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved watching General Hospital and One Life to Live. She was a talented crafter who paid attention to every detail and spent countless hours creating beautiful handmade items. Many family members and friends cherish blankets she lovingly crocheted, and her contributions to family reunion auctions became treasured traditions. She also had a fondness for collecting turtles, along with many other keepsakes that brought her happiness over the years.
Her favorite phrase, "Who loves ya baby?" was more than a saying—it was an expression of the warmth and affection she shared so freely. Anyone who knew Trish knew that her love was genuine and abundant.

For her youngest child, Atlas, she was not only a mother but also a best friend. The bond they shared was one of deep love, trust, and companionship. Her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, but her love, wisdom, laughter, and memories will continue to guide those she leaves behind.

Trish's legacy is one of fierce love, generosity, loyalty, creativity, and kindness. Her family takes comfort in knowing that while her earthly journey has ended, the impact she made on the lives she touched will endure forever.

She will be missed beyond measure and remembered with love always.

Trish was a devoted animal lover, and few things brought her as much happiness as her dogs. After the loss of her beloved dog Tandy, Atlas found a feisty little Chihuahua near Lake Meredith and knew she needed a special companion. That dog became JuneBug, and she quickly captured Trish's heart. Alongside her beloved ColeBerry, whom she adopted through Chloe's Canines Dog Sanctuary of Amarillo, JuneBug became a constant source of comfort, laughter, and companionship. Anyone who knew Trish knew how deeply she loved her dogs, and it was impossible to talk about her life without mentioning them.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Chloe's Canines Dog Sanctuary of Amarillo, Texas, in honor of Trish's love for animals and in gratitude for bringing ColeBerry into her life.
