In case you were wondering! This little spot is from my hometown up in the mountains of Montana and I love walking by this business and taking a picture with this saying every single time I’m there (Kalispell Montana)!

I know for many educators and school base speech pathologists, this time of year is super hectic and busy. I talk a lot about setting boundaries in my presentations and I hope you are spending some time away from your work to focus on what you love and your interests.

Everybody needs a recharge!! For me that means reading a good book and getting to take a nice long walk with my dog! How do you recharge?

I am so excited to share my newest lift of flap board book theme with you!! This one is a highly requested theme.

I love getting involved in my local community. Our sweet little zoo just got turned into an animal sanctuary under an amazing wildlife rescue and conservation non-profit. If you are local (Amarillo TX) come hear the Mayor read my book!! I will be giving out bookmarks and bubbles for the kids and will have Zoo Truck Mix Up for sale in the zoo gift shop! Thank you SO much to Amarillo Chamber of Commerce for honoring me with the 2026 Top Business Award. It was a special evening getting awarded by the Chamber and one of our State Representatives. Being acknowledged in my local community means the world to me and we are grateful to service our local school districts and families.

Jacob’s Bug Collection is one of my favorite lift a flap board books. I just love this theme for preschool therapy. SO much you can do with it. It is so much fun to “catch” bugs with Jacob as you read the story with the matching felt set.

Other tips:
🐞Get some toy bugs and a sensory bin and hide the book pieces with the bugs. Have the student find the book pieces in the sensory bin.
🪲Use the included craft to cut & past the bugs after you read the book.
🐛Use the included print & make bug fact book to learn about each bug from the book (what they eat, where they live, etc…)
