Alice Grace (Wadsworth Monestersky) Harris, 78, of Sewickley, formerly of Ambridge, entered into her eternal rest at Good Samaritan Hospice, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness on August 28, 2026.

Alice was born in Claysville, PA, on February 26, 1948, the youngest of nine children born to the late Alva Carl Wadsworth and Elizabeth Grace (Cassidy) Wadsworth. She grew up in Lemont Furnace, PA.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including her former husband, Anthony Monestersky, and her best friend, Crystal Littell.

Alice leaves behind to cherish and honor her memory her beloved husband of 27 years, Michael Harris; her sisters and brother-in-law, Janet Bess, Ella Faye Lowe and Richard Lowe; her daughter, Tanya Capone (John); and her son, Tony Monestersky (Nancy).

She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Anna (Eddie Bachurski), Johnny, Krista, Kalysa and Kyla Capone, Katera Bentz (Blaze), Zachary Allen (Ashley), Khira Monestersky, Johnathan Ballard and Don Ballard; and her great-grandchildren, Isabella, Elizabeth and Susie Bachurski, and Kaylin Bentz.

Alice had a special place in her heart for her precious kitties, Smudge, Silky and Tiger.Alice worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at D.T. Watson and the Convent (Villa of St. Joseph) before retiring from Heritage Valley Hospital in Sewickley. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and loved ones. She found great joy in gardening, planting and growing flowers, with roses being her absolute favorite. Her gardens were always filled with beautiful flowers that reflected the love and care she put into them. Alice also enjoyed reading, playing bingo and taking bus trips to casinos. Her loving spirit, kind heart and devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 3:00 PM until the time of funeral services at 5:30 PM at Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation, LLC, 547 8th Street, Ambridge.

Maurice Shawan Fisher, age 50, formerly of Baden, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

Maurice was born on September 3, 1975, in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, and was the son of James and Naomi Steals. He was a graduate of Ambridge High School, Class of 1992, and continued his education by earning a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and a master’s degree from Point Park University.

Following his education, Maurice began his career with Pittsburgh Regional Transit, where he dedicated more than 10 years of service. During his time there, he formed close friendships with his coworkers, Terry and Shelley, who held a special place in his life.

Maurice was also passionate about giving back to his community. From 2005 through 2012, he was an active part of Ambridge youth sports, helping coach basketball, soccer, and baseball. He enjoyed being involved with the youth and sharing his knowledge, encouragement, and love of sports with others.

Outside of work and coaching, Maurice enjoyed traveling, continuously gaining knowledge and learning in many different ways, and most of all, spending time with the people he loved. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the many lives he touched throughout the years.

Maurice is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Patrice; his two children, Christian and Jacqueline; and his two beloved grandchildren, Dezmond and Dru (“Dru-Bear”), whom he adored and lovingly called his grandchildren. He is also survived by his three siblings, Richard, Niecey, and Jawaya, all of Ambridge; his niece, Raven, daughter of his late brother Tekoah; as well as many other loving family members and friends.

Maurice’s memory will live on through the family, friends, and community who were blessed to know and love him.

In accordance with Maurice’s wishes, there will be no formal service. The family appreciates the love, prayers, and support extended to them during this difficult time.

Julie Christner Belcher Baskal, 74, of Baden, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Bud and Bessie Christner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Baskal, and her son, Richard J. Belcher.

She is survived by her son, Brian (Kathy) Belcher; her grandchildren, Brandon Belcher, Tristin Lippert, and Chloe Lippert; and a very special friend, Nancy.

Julie was a graduate of Ambridge High School and later worked for many years at Eat ’N Park. She enjoyed shopping, gardening—especially tending to her roses—and watching the Home Shopping Network. Julie also loved decorating for every holiday and making each occasion special.

Above all, Julie cherished her grandchildren, whom she loved and adored. Affectionately known as “GiGi,” she treasured the time she spent with them and the special memories they shared.

There is a ramp on the side of the building next to the driveway that is always available if you are unable to use the steps to enter through the front door.

Ronald J. Ippolito, 86, of Conway, passed away on August 5, 2026. He was the son of the late Harrison and Jennie Ippolito. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, C.L. Sue Seamans.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Linda Ippolito; his children, Lisa Ippolito and Gary (Pam) Ippolito; his grandchildren, Cody, Noah, Luke, Jonathan, Tonya (Andy), and Brian; and his great-grandchildren, Karma, Jessica, Lucas, Haven, Kenley, and Asher. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A graduate of Shenango High School in New Castle, Ron proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. Following his military service, he worked in various steel mills and later managed Pappan’s Restaurant. He then dedicated more than 30 years to serving as a security officer at Heritage Valley Beaver Hospital before retiring.

Ron remained actively involved in his community throughout his life. He served as a board member of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 862, the Beaver Car Cruise, and the Beaver Falls Car Cruise Committee. He was also a member of American Legion Post 641 in Baden.

Ron enjoyed attending car cruises, spending time at the beach, hunting, camping, and anything related to the military. He had a special love for animals, enjoyed singing Elvis songs, and was known for calling square dances. Above all else, Ron cherished the time he spent with his family.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 4:00 p.m. at Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation, LLC, 547 8th Street, Ambridge. Military honors conducted by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 862 will take place at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Burial will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

Lorraine J. Ley, 80, of Ambridge, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Knuckles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judith Erdner; and grandchildren, Tiffany Ley, Michael Degutis, and Anthony Vansel.

She is survived by her children, Debora (Ray) Rall, Teresa Ley, Kimberly (Jim) Bash, and Tammy Ley; sister, Audrey Kline; grandchildren, Christopher, Corey, Raymond, Pamela, and Amanda; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lorraine worked in various hospitality positions, including at Luigi’s Pizzeria and Restaurant in Bellevue. She later worked at the Red, White, and Blue Thrift Shop in Avalon. Lorraine was a hard worker who enjoyed reading and socializing. She had a special love for animals, especially her beloved pets, Cammie and Kitty.

Helena Yeager, 90, of Baden, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, following a lengthy illness, with her loving son and sister at her bedside. She was born on August 21, 1935, in Steubenville, Ohio, the firstborn child of Mele and Dorothy (Ribar) Vukelic. She later came to live in Ambridge at the age of eight with her parents and little brother.

She attended Ambridge schools and was a graduate of the Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1957. Helena began her nursing career at Sewickley Valley Hospital in the maternity department, then moved on to industrial nursing at U.S. Steel/American Bridge, and later retired from D.T. Watson Rehabilitation Hospital in Sewickley. A born nurturer, Helena loved taking care of her family and was very proud of her Serbian heritage. She was known for her friendly demeanor and generosity. Her favorite activities included shopping, cooking, and baking, especially Serbian dishes. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and knitting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William “Junior” Yeager; her brother, George Vukelic; and her sister, Dianne Magditch. She is survived by her loving and devoted son, Mitchell Yeager; and her sister, Millicent Vukelic. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their offspring.

All services are private. She will be interred at Economy Cemetery, Ambridge. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation LLC.

Wade A. Wright, 46, of Economy, passed away on January 15, 2026. He was the beloved son of Galen and Barbara Wright.

Wade was preceded in death by his brother, Todd Wright; his uncle, Randy Wright; and his aunt, Linda Irvin.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Cheryl Wright; his daughter, Angelina Darcy; aunts, Susie (Tom) Scornavacca, Sandy (“Tuss”) Shoop, and Patti Fleck; uncles, Monte (Barbara) Wright and Larry Irvin; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Wade was a graduate of Huntingdon High School. He spent many years working in construction and most recently devoted himself to his love of animals while working at Champion Canine Kennel in Ambridge. He cherished time spent with his wife, enjoyed listening to music of all kinds—especially the music of Chris Cornell—and had a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00-4:00 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at W.E. Gather Community Event Center, 1221 Washington Street, Huntingdon, PA, 16652.
