With heavy hearts but joyful spirits, we celebrate the life of Mala Ella Manuma Iuliano, born on October 7, 1966 to ViaVia Manuma Jr and Overland Olotoa Manuma in Utulei Hospital in American Samoa. She passed away on June 12, 2026. Mala, who fondly went by Marla, was a radiant light in the lives of all who knew her, filling each moment with laughter, joy, and an unwavering positivity that inspired everyone around her.

Marla was a true prayer warrior - her faith ran deep, guiding her through life with grace and integrity. She embodied loyalty and was a living testament to the power of love, always ready to give, forgive, and support those in need. Family was at the very center of her life; she cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was a lively BBQ or a simple gathering, her laughter echoing in every corner.

An enthusiastic cook, Marla delighted in bringing family and friends together around the table. She was also a fierce competitor on the basketball court, where her spirit and enthusiasm shone. Music was another passion, with her heart swaying to oldies and Christian tunes alike. And let's not forget her beloved Korean dramas - a sacred time that required no interruptions!

I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

2 Timothy 4:7

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19

Having finished her earthly journey, Marla now rests in the presence of her Lord and Savior, forever loved, forever remembered, and forever in our hearts.

Raymond Hinckley Burgoyne

Raymond Hinckley Burgoyne passed away on June 18, 2026, six years to the day that his beautiful wife Myrna passed away. He was 89 years old. Raymond was a valiant son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who lived his life with humor, patience, and an unwavering devotion to serving others. He was born on February 27, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Mabel Hinckley and Ivan Burgoyne, the youngest son of three boys. He lived across the street from the Utah State Capitol Building and spent many happy hours exploring the building and playing on the grounds.

Raymond grew up in a large extended family where his cousins were his best friends. Summers were spent on his uncle’s farm in Holden or at Bear Lake where his Burgoyne cousins lived. After graduating from West High School, he served a mission in the Australia South mission. He attended the University of Utah where he earned his bachelor's degree in Sociology and a master's degree in Social Work to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. This prepared him for a lifelong career as a social worker and therapist, helping people navigate difficult family situations and heal relationships. He also served as a member of the Utah National Guard.

It was while working at ZCMI as a stockboy that he met Myrna Day who was a buyer for the department store. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple on July 30, 1962. They lived in Salt Lake and Provo before finally settling in American Fork, where they bought their home and stayed for the next 55 years. They loved living in their tight knit neighborhood where they formed life-long friendships. Their home was always open to family or friends who needed a place to live.

As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ray served in many callings including as a counselor in the stake presidency, ward mission leader, and elders quorum president. His favorite calling was serving as the bishop of the American Fork 20th Ward. He loved serving and was willing to serve in any capacity. When he wasn’t serving others, he often spent many hours working in the garden. Many neighbors and friends can attest to his green thumb if they were the lucky recipient of a butternut squash. He grew dozens and distributed them far and wide.

Raymond was the father of seven daughters. Being the only man in the house required a good sense of humor and incredible patience. He possessed both of those in abundance. He was gentle, sensitive and kind.

One of the highlights of his life was serving a mission with Myrna to the Washington DC North mission where they worked in the National Archives doing family history work as well as working with wounded military veterans who were hospitalized at Walter Reed Medical Center. Raymond always approached difficult circumstances with good humor throughout his life. After Myrna developed dementia, Raymond lovingly cared for her at home until her passing in 2020.

Nothing was more important to Ray than his family and his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was faithful until the end.

Raymond is survived by his seven daughters– Rebecca (Todd) Mortensen, Christine (Bruce) Lundgreen, Tammy (Wade) Ellis, Melanie (Miguel) Miller, Rachel (Doug) Jenson, Amy (Sam) Hiatt, and Elizabeth (Lorin) Leithead and his brother Edwin Burgoyne and sister in law Carolyn Burgoyne. He is also survived by Myrna’s siblings David Day, Rebecca (Parker) Fuhriman and Paul (Joan) Day. He also has 25 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren with one on the way. He was predeceased by his parents Mabel and Ivan Burgoyne, his wife Myrna Day Burgoyne, his brother Conrad Burgoyne, his granddaughter Isabelle Jenson, and his sisters-in-law Elayne Day, Joan Burgoyne, and Rayma Burgoyne.

Special thanks to Sheila Kepo’o, the wonderful people at First Choice Health Hospice, as well as the amazing staff at Highland Glenn Assisted Living.

We invite everyone who knew and loved Raymond to join us in honoring his memory. A public viewing will be held at Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, Utah on Sunday, July 5th from 6 to 8 pm. The following day, Monday, July 6th, a public viewing will take place at the American Fork 20th Ward, 825 East 500 North in American Fork, Utah from 9:45-10:45 am. The funeral service will follow at 11 am. Internment will take place at the American Fork City Cemetery following the service.

Born on December 7, 1979 in North Bergen, New Jersey to Juan Bernardo Alcoser and Anna Tenberge Alcoser, Anna was a devoted wife to Kenneth Loyo and a loving mother to her four boys: Elijah, Ethan, Xander, and Vincent.

Anna centered her life around Christ, which enabled her to enjoy life the way she wanted. Her smile was contagious and her eyes truly showed the love she had for everyone. Anna's life was a simple recipe. Its contents were only a few ingredients - love, patience, understanding, and dedication.

Anna's recipe allowed her to shine so bright, it allowed her to serve in many ways. Anna loved serving for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mark Johnson

Mark H. Johnson, beloved father, grandfather, son, and brother, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mark was born to Ray Johnson and Doris Elaine Hair on May 21, 1947 in Provo, Utah. He was raised in the small town of Leamington, Utah, where he shared many adventures with his 9 siblings.

By the time he was four, Mark had learned to read and fell in love with it instantly, reading at an 8th grade reading level by the end of 1st grade. With an insatiable appetite for reading, he read every single book in his school library. This love of reading would continue throughout his entire life; as an adult, he could often be found reading spy novels and toting around heavy books about computer programming.

As a child and later as a teenager, Mark rose early to milk the cows and help his father and grandfather around the farm before school. He attended Delta High School, where he excelled at wrestling, as well as academics. He always spoke fondly of riding around Leamington on his favorite horse, Flax.

In 1966, Mark served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Texas. After returning home from his mission, he went to college to study Computer Science at BYU, where he met and married Vicki Ann Sinclair in 1969. They went on to have four children, followed by two stillborn daughters, Karen Marie and Debra Lee.

In the midst of losing their final child, as well as losing parents and grandparents in 1984, the couple divorced. Afterward, Mark met and married Kari Anne Nelson in 1988, and to Mark’s delight, they went on to have two more daughters.

In Mark's life, the gospel of Jesus Christ was a constant, and he served faithfully in many callings, from those with the young men to teaching gospel doctrine. Mark loved the stories of Jesus and would recount them to his children, often listening to a dramatized version of the New Testament at home or on various road trips.

Mark and Kari both enjoyed having fun with family, which included lively family dinners, teaching their children to ski and play other sports, vacationing, and preserving memories in books for posterity. Mark loved to talk with anyone and everyone, and he would often regale them with stories of his childhood, his harrowing trip to Russia during the Cold War period, where he lectured at a university in Moscow, any of his current work projects, and many other entertaining topics. Conversation was always abundant and enlightening when talking to Mark.

He had a love of computers and technology and a special aptitude for retaining the information, from the simplest of binary systems to complex computer languages. During his working years, Mark had opportunities to work for companies such as Novell, WordPerfect, General Automation, and Intel; and he created his own company, Datamark, which produced the first computers used in LDS temples. He had many brilliant ideas, developing several parts that are still used in computer chips today, applying for patents for his work with encryption, and ultimately giving the technology to the U.S. government for use.

Yet while he worked hard, he also loved to play. He enjoyed driving fast in his sports car, taking the boat out on the lake for some water skiing, riding around with the family on four-wheelers, and taking the kids fishing and camping whenever possible.

In 2011, Mark took an opportunity to move to the Washington, D.C. area, where he was contracted to work with government agencies to increase security and develop technologies to assist in defense. He was only allowed to share limited information with his family regarding the projects he was working on, but he was very proud of the work he was doing.

After a few years, Mark returned to Utah to be with his children and grandchildren. In his final years, he spent as much time as he could with his loved ones. He will be greatly missed!

Mark is survived by his six children: David, Doug (Sarah), Danny (Camille), Julie (Kelly), Alexia (Andrew), and Sierra (Christy), along with 17 beautiful grandchildren. A viewing will be held Saturday, June 20th from 10:00-10:45 A.M. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary in American Fork. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 at American Fork Cemetery, where he will be interred.
