Whittier, NC. Winnie, a two-year-old female dachshund/chihuahua, was out exploring early one evening. Winnie was a little too curious and was bitten by a copperhead, with its fangs puncturing the top of her nose. The following morning, she was rushed to Cherokee Animal Care Clinic and immediately received 50 mL of Rattler Antivenom. These antivenom antibodies worked quickly to bind and neutralize the venom in Winnie's body. Thanks to the swift work by the staff, Winnie was discharged the next day with a clean bill of health—yay!
