If you’ve spent years bouncing between specialists and still don’t have a clear answer—this is for you.

I’m Lauren. I spent 38 years undiagnosed, and when I finally started getting answers, I did what you do when the thing you needed doesn’t exist: I built it.

Here’s what makes Connective Wellness different—and I mean this specifically, not as a tagline.

Other providers might be EDS-aware. They might see a hypermobile patient occasionally and do their best. That’s not nothing.

But this is the only thing we do, every single day, all day.

It’s not on a list of conditions we treat. It is the entire list.

Which means our clinicians aren’t on a learning curve.

They’re skilled at this because they practice it every single day—diagnostics, treatment, follow-up, and everything that comes after.

Over 75% of our staff live in these bodies. We’re not looking at this from the outside. We see ourselves in every patient who walks through our door.

Comment INFO and we’ll send you everything about what we do. 💜

Most people with hEDS don’t have a care team. They have a collection of specialists—hours apart, none of whom have ever spoken to each other—and one exhausted patient carrying the information between all of them and hoping nothing gets lost in translation.

(42 years of being my own medical project manager. I do not recommend it.)

That’s exactly why we built Connective Wellness the way we did. Every specialist you’d ever need for an hEDS body—NPs, PTs, patient advocate, health coach, somatic therapist, nutrition coach—under one roof, all talking to each other, all working from the same picture of your body at the same time. Not a referral network.

An actual team.

And for the people who can’t just pop in on a Tuesday—we built the Immersive Program. Three to five dedicated days in Amherst, NH where you move through the full team on a coordinated schedule. Diagnostics, functional medicine, physical therapy, health coaching, patient advocacy—all of it sequenced and connected. You leave with answers and a care plan that actually makes sense for your body.

People have flown in from Canada, Ireland, Spain, Dubai—actual other countries, through customs—because they couldn’t find this level of coordination anywhere near home. My mind is still a little blown by that, and I don’t take it lightly.

Comment ✨IMMERSIVE✨ and we’ll walk you through what’s included and what to expect. 💜

“A diagnosis won’t change your treatment.”

It will, actually.

It changes everything—what questions get asked, what specialists get involved, what your body gets to stop having to prove. And for most of us, it changes the way we talk to ourselves about what we’ve been living through.

But here’s what I want you to know: at Connective Wellness, a diagnosis is never the last thing we give you.

We lead with diagnostics. Then we build a full care plan around your body—physical therapy, lifestyle and nutrition coaching, somatic therapy, patient advocacy, all of it hEDS-aware, all talking to each other, all working from the same picture of you.

You have been told there’s nothing to do for too long. There is. And we built an entire clinic around it.

Comment DIAGNOSTICS and we’ll send you everything about our evaluation—what it covers, what to expect, and what comes after.

Because a diagnosis is never supposed to be the end of the conversation.😉

Getting the diagnosis felt like finally finding the answer to a question I’d been asking for 38 years.

And then the appointment ended.

(No plan. No referrals. No “here’s what this means for your body.” Just the diagnosis and the drive home. 🫠)

What I didn’t know yet was how common that experience is—POTS, MCAS, hEDS, all connected, all affecting each other, and almost nobody in the medical system whose job it is to look at all of it at the same time.

At Connective Wellness, that’s all we do. Nurse practitioners, physical therapists, patient advocates, somatic therapists, nutrition coaches, chronic illness coaches—all hEDS-aware, all talking to each other, all working from the same picture of your body so you’re not the one carrying the information between rooms anymore.

The diagnosis is only the beginning. What we care about is what happens after it—and we’ve built the whole thing around that part.

Comment INFO and we’ll send you everything about our team, what an evaluation looks like, and what comes after. 💜

The crash isn’t random.

It’s not weakness, inconsistency, or you “overdoing it.” It’s your body doing what an hEDS body does when the underlying drivers—dysautonomia, mast cell activation, connective tissue that worked twice as hard as everyone else’s yesterday—haven’t been addressed at the root.

Nobody ever told me that. Thirty-eight years of “pace yourself” with zero explanation of why the crash was happening. (To be fair, most of them didn’t know. But that’s exactly the problem.)

That’s where Christina comes in. Functional medicine isn’t about telling you to do less—it’s about finding out why your body responds this way and actually building a plan around it. So the good days stop costing you three bad ones.

Comment FUNCTIONAL and we’ll send you everything about working with her. 💜

For 38 years I looked for a clinic that could see the whole picture—not all of my symptoms separately.

That clinic didn’t exist. So Jason and I built it.

Connective Wellness is in Amherst, NH—NPs, PTs, health coaches, somatic therapy, patient advocacy, all hEDS-aware, all coordinating together under the same roof.

People drive hours for it. People fly in from Canada, Ireland, Spain, Greece, Dubai for our Immersive Program because finding a team that already knows what they’re looking at felt worth the trip.

(My mind is still a little blown by that. I don’t take it lightly.)

But I also know that getting to Amherst isn’t possible for everyone—and the whole point of building this was that nobody should have to go without care because of where they live.

So most of what we do is now available virtually: care coordination, Flometrics movement coaching, lifestyle and nutrition coaching, somatic therapy, chronic illness coaching—from anywhere in the world. Diagnostics and functional medicine are available in select licensed states.

Comment VIRTUAL and we’ll send you everything that’s available 100% virtually. 💜

“Chiropractic” and “hEDS” in the same sentence—we know. We get the comments.

What Dr. Desiree does is not what may have hurt you before.

Gentle technique, hypermobility-informed, built around a body that already moves too much in all the wrong ways.

After seeing hundreds of hypermobile patients, she knows what works for hypermobile bodies.

You can learn more about her unique approach by commenting CHIRO below. 💜

The people who love us carry this too.
They watched us modify, cancel, push through, and crash. They stopped suggesting yoga and started learning what subluxation actually means. They celebrated the small physical wins because they understood—finally—that those wins cost something.
Movement with hEDS isn’t complicated because we’re not trying hard enough. It’s complicated because a body with hypermobile connective tissue needs to build strength in a completely different way—carefully, incrementally, without pushing past what the tissue can actually hold. Most standard PT doesn’t know how to do that. Flometrics® does.
Flometrics® was built specifically for this body type, and we’ve now supported thousands of patients with it—including virtually, which means wherever you are in the world, you can learn this approach and actually start moving in a way that doesn’t cost you the next three days.
We have both in-person and virtual ways to learn about this approach. Just comment FLOMETRICS and we’ll send you the details. 💜

I spent years eating clean and wondering why I kept getting worse.

Here’s what nobody tells you:

1️⃣ “Spinach is a superfood” unless you have MCAS, in which case it’s one of the highest histamine foods you can eat. Same with avocado, most fermented foods, and anything you cooked yesterday and saved for today. The clean eating list and the low-histamine list are almost opposites.

2️⃣ “Cut the salt” is standard advice that will actively tank a POTS body. Dysautonomia bodies need higher sodium and fluid intake to maintain blood pressure—heart-healthy low-sodium eating makes POTS symptoms worse, not better.

3️⃣ “Eat more fiber” assumes a gut that empties normally. Gastroparesis—which is extremely common in hEDS—means your stomach already moves slowly. High fiber makes bloating, nausea, and pain worse for a gut that’s already struggling.

4️⃣”Find a plan and stick to it”? Your triggers are not the same as anyone else’s. Not the list you found on Google. Not what works for your friend with MCAS. (Not even what works for me—and I built a clinic around this.) There is no universal hEDS food protocol.

This is why we have Yentl and Sabrina. Not to hand you another food rule to follow—to actually figure out what YOUR specific body needs.

Comment NUTRITION and we’ll send you everything about working with her. 💜

The hEDS community has been passing this knowledge to each other for years.

Not doctors. Not specialists. Us. In comment sections, in DMs, in late-night threads, in videos. Because the average diagnostic delay for hEDS is 22 years—and at some point, you stop waiting for the system to catch up and start doing the research yourself.

(And then you find the right account—thank you Allison Tennyson—at the right time and suddenly 22 years of “I don’t know what’s wrong with me” makes sense in about four minutes.)

You were not dramatic. You were not anxious. You were not imagining it. You were right—you just had to find that out without any help.

And if you have the dots but nobody has connected them yet, comment DIAGNOSTICS to learn more about our program.

We are currently licensed to diagnose in NH, VT, MA, ME, RI, FL and CA (with more states pending).
