🔥 Wildfire Smoke & Asthma: Protect Your Lungs 🌫️

Wildfire smoke can travel hundreds of miles — and even if the flames aren’t nearby, the air quality can still impact your breathing.

For people with asthma, allergies, or other respiratory conditions, wildfire smoke can be especially irritating. Tiny particles in smoke can trigger inflammation in the lungs and lead to:

⚠️ Coughing
⚠️ Wheezing
⚠️ Chest tightness
⚠️ Shortness of breath
⚠️ Fatigue

Here are some ways to protect yourself and your family:

🏠 Stay indoors when air quality is poor — especially children and those with asthma.
💊 Keep asthma medications nearby and make sure your asthma is well controlled.
🍳 Avoid activities that add indoor pollution, like frying or grilling, when smoke levels are high.

Children can be especially vulnerable because their lungs are still developing, so extra precautions are important.

If you notice increased coughing, wheezing, trouble breathing, or asthma symptoms that aren’t improving, contact your healthcare provider.

🌬️ Breathe easier. Stay informed. Protect your lungs.

The right diagnosis and treatment plan can help reduce flare-ups, improve breathing, and help you get back to doing what you love.

If symptoms are affecting your daily life, it may be time to talk with an allergy specialist.

Food allergies don't just affect what you eat—they affect every meal decision you make.

One of the best ways to reduce stress and avoid accidental exposure is by creating an allergy-friendly meal plan. Planning ahead helps you identify safe foods, maintain balanced nutrition, and avoid risky last-minute choices.

A little preparation can go a long way toward keeping you safe and confident.
