Sunday's are my formulation and blending day.

Today was a custom order of cocoa-mint lip balms (smooth and minty), avocado and coconut body butter (it's so luscious), and Elderberry Cough Syrup that I formulated with cinnamon and cloves.

My kitchen smells amazing. Made some extra for myself all set for the winter season :)

Recently I was interviewed by Departure's Magazine on the benefits of aromatherapy for shifting and uplifting mood.

If we are experiencing anxiety, it's important to get to the root cause.

As a career coach who is also a clinical aromatherapist, I am always looking for ways to support my clients.

One way that helps many of my coaching clients is using aromatherapy whenever they feel overwhelmed or stressed.

Place a few drops on a cotton ball and stuff the ball in your shirt. Or inhale from the bottle.

I like to think of flowers as a persona (hey, I spent my career in advertising and marketing, it was all about personas) as it helps me to remember their unique benefits.

Take a read and let me know what you think 🌸💚

From citrus scents, lavender, ylang ylang, and many more, these uplifting botanical fragrances will lift your mood when you wear them.

As a clinical aromatherapist and a certified career coach I often blend (ha!) essential oils into my coaching work with clients.

So many people suffer from anxiety.

First it's important to investigate your thoughts and determine what is causing the anxiety. Thoughts and feelings are connected and create our results.

Examining the thought, asking yourself if it’s true, and can you prove it true is one way to dig into the root cause of the anxiety.

Another way I have found incredibly helpful for myself and others to use Lavender essential oil for aromatherapy. Research shows that active chemical agent in Lavender, Linalool, acts as a calming effect on our neurotransmitters and can soothe an overactive brain.

Inhaling essential oils stimulates the olfactory system, the part of the brain (amygdala and hippocampus) connected to smell, including the nose and the brain. Molecules that enter the nose or mouth pass to the lungs, and from there, to other parts of the body. As the molecules reach the brain, they affect limbic system, which is linked to the emotions, the heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, memory, stress, and hormone balance

I think of Lavender as the MacGyver of all essential oils. She is ALWAYS prepared and works on pretty much everything...headaches, helpful with insomnia, bug bites, pimples, and she aids in the balancing of hormones.

Inhale straight from the bottle or put a few drops on a cotton ball and stuff in a pocket. Sprinkle on your pillowcase to ease you to sleep.

Just never leave home without it.

Healing starts. Careers advance. Life opens up. It’s all possible.

I love watching my whipped body butter come together. Coconut oil, shea butter, coca butter and a bit of vanilla infused jojoba. Smells delicious, feels luxurious. Looks edible. Heart and handmade.
