Eulene Caldwell, a beloved seamstress and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, at Diversicare in Amory Mississippi. Born on February 2, 1944, in Mississippi, Eulene’s life was a testament to quiet dedication, steadfast faith, and profound love for those around her.

Eulene devoted many years to her craft as a seamstress at the Amory garment factory, where her skill and diligence were hallmarks of her professional life. Though her formal education concluded at the 12th grade, she embodied a lifelong commitment to learning and growth, which shone through in her meticulous work and in her hobbies. Among these, gardening and collecting rocks brought her joy and tranquility, while her devout Christian faith and deep connection to her church family provided a spiritual anchorage that sustained her through life’s seasons.

Her heart was immeasurably warmed by the companionship of her many dogs, with a special place reserved for her beloved Snoopy, whose presence illuminated her days. Eulene’s warm spirit and gentle nature extended to a wide circle of loved ones, including her surviving brother, William Caldwell, her sister, Edna Mae Rawson, and a host of cherished nieces, nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews, who will carry her memory forward with love and reverence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Oueriah Caldwell, brothers Junior Caldwell and Albert Caldwell, and sister Mary Armstrong, whose legacies live on through their shared stories and memories.

A visitation will be held on June 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, Mississippi, located at 500 3rd Avenue South. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life from 11:00 a.m. until noon at the same location, where family, friends, and all whose lives she touched are invited to reflect, remember, and honor her remarkable journey.

Eulene Caldwell’s life was marked by humble accomplishment and profound affection for her community and family. She leaves behind a legacy defined not only by her work in the garment industry but by the quiet strength, love, and faith she so abundantly shared. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her, a shining example of grace and devotion in every season.

Bobby G Oliver, a devoted family man, steadfast railroad worker, and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Born on August 8, 1939, in Nettleton, Mississippi, Bobby lived a life marked by dedication, humility, and a uniquely candid spirit that endeared him to many.

Bobby’s journey through life was rooted in simplicity and sincerity. He completed his formal education up to the 8th grade at the Carolina School, yet his wisdom and character spoke volumes beyond the classroom walls. His career spanned an impressive 38 years with the Burlington Northern Railroad, a testament to his exceptional work ethic. Notably, he missed only a couple of days throughout his entire career—an achievement that speaks to his reliability and commitment.

Known for his joking character, humble demeanor, and straightforward approach to life, Bobby brought light and laughter to those around him. His favorite sayings—“You betcha,” “Give me $2,” and “My way or the highway”—echoed his personality, reflecting both his humor and his no-nonsense attitude. Beyond work, he found joy and solace in the outdoors, indulging his love for fishing, hunting, and the peaceful embrace of nature. He was a devoted fan of Merle Haggard’s music, a loyal listener of Kudzu 104.9 radio station, and an enthusiastic participant in the game show Wheel of Fortune. Most of all, he treasured his lake house in Iuka, Mississippi, where countless memories with family and friends were made.

Bobby’s faith as a Christian Man of God was central to his life, providing a foundation of strength and guidance. He was a man who loved deeply and was loved in return by those closest to him.

He is survived by his daughters, Karen Walls (Bodie) and Kim Oliver, who carry forward his legacy of love and perseverance. His grandchildren Nathan Whitaker, Emily Wright (Chanler), and Ryan Walls, along with great-grandchildren Mary Paige Wright and Cooper James Wright, remember him fondly. Bobby’s familial bonds extended to his brother Billy Joe Oliver and sisters Kathleen Oliver and Faye Cooper, as well as a host of nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson Oliver and Ida Mae Sullivan Oliver and his beloved wife of over fifty years, Mary Harris Oliver, as well as his brothers Shorty Oliver, Doyle Oliver, and Ruble Oliver. Their memories remain interwoven with his own in the fabric of family history.

A visitation will be held on May 29, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, Mississippi, located at 500 3rd Ave S. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the same location with Bro. Samuel John R***r officiating, where family, friends, and all who knew Bobby may gather to honor his remarkable life. Pallbearers will be Chanler Wright, John Craig Griffith, Ryans Walls, Woody Oliver, Eugene Oliver, and Mike Oliver. Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Lucas, Jerry Box, Terry Causey, and Johnny Chaney.

Bobby G Oliver’s story is one of dedication, faith, and an unyielding love for family and community. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those he touched. His memory remains a guiding light for all who had the privilege to know him.

Memorials/Donations can be made to Amory Animal Shelter.
