Thank you to everyone who joined the donation-based yoga class at this morning. The sun was out and things were flowwwinng.

And thank you for providing the vibes, the free beer, and the community hangout spot.

Besides the fact that these classes are so 👏🏼 fun 👏🏼, they’re also raising money for free yoga classes in the community for moms, women, and children through the .

This Sunday we have another Donation-Based Yoga Class at Smelter City Brewing as a part of Anaconda Yoga‘s Seva Series.

“Seva” means “selfless service”. Showing up for your community and supporting others is a big part of a complete yoga practice.

This Seva Series is raising funds for the Anaconda Wellness Project, a non-profit organization providing wellness opportunities to children, women, and aging populations.

When you join a donation-based yoga class, you are supporting your community 🥰

Recommended donations are $10+ either in cash or Venmo.

Is yoga a religion? 🤔

No, yoga isn’t a religion. It’s an ancient tradition from India that offers practices for the body, mind, and spirit. Long before books were widely available, these teachings were passed down through stories, philosophy, and frameworks like the Eight Limbs of Yoga.

In this video, I mention that yoga is a guidebook for how to live well. What I didn’t mention is that the deeper purpose of yoga is self-realization.

Self-realization simply means becoming more aware of who you are beneath the noise of daily life.

The idea is that when we know ourselves more deeply, we can move through life with greater wisdom, compassion, and intention.

People of many different faiths practice yoga, and many people practice it with no religious affiliation at all.

The Anaconda Yoga Fest is happening this September 11-13 and is a full weekend of FUN 🤩

Who is ready for another donation-based yoga class at 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️

This is a fun, social morning where we get to move the body in a gentle way and then hang out afterward with a free beer and good company.

(And stay until opens for some 🤌🏼delish🤌🏼 food)

All donations go toward free kids yoga programs in Anaconda. We’ve already sponsored one child at the upcoming Kids Yoga Camp this summer, and raised funds will sponsor free kids yoga classes throughout the community…

Thank you, Lincoln Elementary for inviting Anaconda Yoga out for the field day today. We got to do yoga with 36 (!) groups of littles and the way those little bodies moved and laughed absolutely melted my heart. What a special team of teachers and paras that are there each day supporting our community’s children. My heart is very full ❤️❤️
