Meet Kat McGee (she/they) 🌙
Kat started teaching because they wanted to offer the kind of class they weren’t seeing in public yoga studios.
A class for people who are anxious. People living with pain. People experiencing burnout. People who have had a DAY and are trying very hard to remain a person. A class where showing up for the last 15 minutes still counts as showing up.
Their teaching style, according to Kat: unpretentious, hospitable, nerdy.
You can expect lots of props, music you probably don’t associate with yoga, permission to ask questions or complain about a pose, and absolutely no expectation that you arrive flexible, calm, good at meditating, or looking a particular way.
Basically, if you’ve ever thought I would like yoga if yoga were a little less… yoga, Kat may be your person.
And yes, Half Moon is simultaneously their favorite pose and the pose they have beef with. We’re letting them work that out on their own time.
