CSM 2026 in - Friday recap!
1. Attended Rebeca Segraves’ talk about the necessity of postpartum and post-surgical rehab protocols. Rebeca is such a motivational and knowledgeable speaker 👏🏻 Grateful for the path she is paving in physical therapy care.

2. Attended a talk about the importance of telehealth in maternal healthcare deserts 🌵 👏🏻 💯 Compared to other European countries, the US is far behind in providing standardized and covered postpartum and prenatal visits. We need this to change - STAT!

3. My personal favorite lecture of the day -
learning how to manage the pregnant patient with EDS! Many of my patients suffer from EDS and with pregnancy hormone relaxin - everything gets more even more complicated 🥹

Loved 🥰 attending CSM this year w my dance friend & orthopedic PT baddie ♥️

“Where is your rupture?”

I saw this piece by Andy Warhol and couldn’t stop thinking about pelvic health.

So many people come into pelvic PT knowing something doesn’t feel right:

pain
leaks
pressure
tightness
disconnection

But they can’t point to one obvious “rupture.”

That’s because pelvic health issues are rarely one clean break.

They’re often the result of years of holding: #
stress
birth
trauma
posture
breath patterns
grinding through life

The pelvic floor doesn’t just fail.
It tried to adapt. Until it can’t anymore.

Pelvic PT isn’t about finding what’s “broken.”
It’s about understanding what your body has been compensating for and helping it feel safe, supported, and functional again.

If you’ve ever been told “everything looks normal” but you know something is off.. your experience is valid.

Your rupture doesn’t have to be visible to be real.
