Heartbreak lives in the body long before the mind can “understand” it. Here are some quick areas of for you to use during times of overwhelm or when needing a little extra support.
1️⃣ Heart 7 (HT7) — “Spirit Gate”
Location: Inner wrist crease, pinky side
Why it matters: Calms emotional shock, heart ache, rumination, insomnia, anxiety.
How: Gently press or massage in small circle for 60–90 seconds each side while breathing slowly into the chest.
Intention:
“I allow my heart to soften without closing.”
2️⃣ Pericardium 6 (PC6) — “Inner Gate”
Location: Three finger-widths below the wrist crease, center of inner forearm.
Why it matters: Releases grief held around the heart, eases nausea, tight chest, emotional overwhelm
How: Press steadily or rock gently for 1–2 minutes each side.
This is a big one for heartbreak. It helps the heart feel protected but not armored.
3️⃣ Lung 1 (LU1) — “Central Treasury”
Location: Upper outer chest, below collarbone near shoulder.
Why it matters: Grief, sadness, loss, letting go
How: Use fingertips or knuckles gently for 60 seconds each side.
You may feel emotion rise here…that’s a release, so don’t get discouraged. Sometimes a deep breath happens with this point naturally.
4️⃣ Lung 9 (LU9) — “Great Abyss”
Location: Wrist crease, thumb side.
Why it matters: Supports deep grief processing, self-worth after loss, emotional resilience
How: Gentle pressure for 60 seconds each side.
Affirmation:
“I am still whole, even as I grieve.”
5️⃣ Yintang — Third Eye Point
Location: Between the eyebrows.
Why it matters: Quiet mental loops, obsessive thoughts, emotional replay
How: Light pressure or small circles for 1–2 minutes while slowly exhaling.
This helps stop the mental reliving of the heartbreak.
6️⃣ Kidney 27 (K27) — “Elegant Mansion”
Location: Below collarbone near sternum or center of chest.
Why it matters: Grounds heartbreak out of panic, supports safety after emotional rupture
How: Rub gently or tap for 30–60 seconds.
This brings you back into your body when the heart feels shattered.
