If you receive a suspicious call, do not share personal information and hang-up.

Jones Regional Medical Center Board members had the opportunity to get a firsthand look at our new da Vinci 5 surgical robot and learn how this advanced technology will enhance patient care. We're excited to begin using the da Vinci 5 this fall, bringing even greater precision, innovation and expanded access to high-quality surgical care to Jones County.

The purchase of this equipment was supported by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of a financial assistance award provided to the state of Iowa, totaling $209,040,063.71 with 100 percent funded by CMS/HHS. When Rachel came to JRMC to complete rehabilitation following a knee replacement, she shared how much she appreciated the care she received and our welcoming team. She enjoyed her garden view and the patio area where she could spend time outside. Rachel also recognized the many team members working behind the scenes to care for her, including our pharmacist, Melinda.

At JRMC, Melinda’s work goes far beyond filling prescriptions. She carefully reviews medications, checks for interactions, adjusts doses and identifies safe alternatives. One of the most rewarding parts of her job is working alongside physicians, nurses and patients to answer questions, solve medication challenges and help ensure every patient receives safe, effective treatment.

Our pharmacy team also prepares medications for departments throughout the hospital, stocks medications for ambulance boxes and mentors pharmacy students gaining hands-on hospital experience. Much of Melinda’s work happens behind the scenes, but it makes a big difference in the care our patients receive.

Research shows that artwork can promote healing, reduce stress and anxiety, ease pain, and support overall well-being. Through the JRMC Foundation's Beautification Fund, donors help create welcoming spaces throughout the hospital featuring beautiful photographs of Jones County captured by local photographers.

For Joan, a Rehab Services Tech at JRMC, sponsoring photographs became a heartfelt way to honor her loved ones and give back to the hospital that cared for her family.

"Before my mother-in-law's passing in 2020, she visited this facility many times, and our family was incredibly appreciative of the compassionate care she received. We felt that sponsoring a memorial photograph was the perfect way to give back to JRMC."

After her father-in-law passed away this past April, Joan and her family sponsored another photograph in his memory.
