Center for Indigenous Midwifery Cohort c/o 2026!
I would like to start by thanking my dear friend, Abra Patkotak, for thinking of Away To Decompress ❤️
These women flew up to have their graduation ceremony in Anchorage, Alaska. I was offered an opportunity I couldn't refuse. It has been a PRIVILEGE and a BLESSING to do bodywork on these beautiful women!. The vibes and conversation are memories I will cherish for a lifetime🥰
I felt like it was such a flex💪 to say "I worked on a group of GORGEOUS MIDWIVES from all over the west coast!" Now, I would never have imagined the amount of takeaways I got when the ladies and I spoke about energy, stress, culture, tradition, perspective, community, treatment, or anything that crossed our minds. The entire environment from the moment I walked in the door was so warm and welcoming. I really walked in there scared because normally, patients came to me one by one.
I loved this experience so much. The drive to Homer was beautiful, and these women sharing their time with me made it more worth it✨ Being surrounded by strong, beautiful indigenous women who help bring new life into the world was such a heartwarming experience! The feeling was truly unmatched!
Thank you ladies so much for everything💖💖 I hope to see every single one of you again!
Congratulations!! 🎉🎊
